Training Guidance of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

1. Briefly introduce module PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Personal protective equipment, such as (Safety helmet with chin strap, Safety
glasses, working coverall, Gloves, Safety Shoes and etc. are required for the
various jobs we perform and the many areas in the plant into which we enter. Yet
thousands of injuries occur each year to employees who are either not wearing any
protective equipment at all; or are not wearing the appropriate protection for their
job task or work environment. This module discusses the proper selection and use
of common types of personal protective equipment and features some worker
testimonials that provide valuable lessons about the importance of wearing own
PPE.

6. Practices and Examination

 Know hazards of wearing no PPE or improper PPE
 Know different kinds of PPE, such as head protection, work clothing, body
protection, hand and arm protection, foot protection, eye and face
protection, personal fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing
protection and flotation equipment.
 Know how to select, check and use various PPE.
 Know how to don safety harness and double lanyards.
 Know how to walk over the bridge with use lanyards and use of vertical
lanyards and practice fall with using inertial reel.
