RATIONALE

Colon is one of the biggest area in Cebu City wherein lots of families live beside the street or
roadways. Lacking basic necessities, their children are pushed to do criminal acts to support
family needs. Some of these street children wanted themselves to be educated in school. But
the only hindrance in this longing is poverty.
In order to settle this kind of issue, the researchers proposed the (TITLE), which aims at giving
alternative way of learning for the street children specifically those who age 7-12 years old. This
project is beneficial not just only to the children but also to their parents, as it will help their
children to be knowledgeable and disciplined at the same time. The implementation of the
project is expected to develop children’s basic knowledge and enhance their skills mentally and
physically, hence contributes to the attainment of Department of Education’s "Education for All”.

OBJECTIVES
•To give street children the opportunities to learn and be knowledgeable
•To prevent the proliferation of street children.
•To have a better viewpoint regardless of education.
