Executive Summary

1.1 Who is asking for the grant?

This project is an independent proposal looking for a government institution to

administer or conduct the whole project. Nevertheless, the government of Albay can
be our main proponent for this program which will highly benefit the school and
province and may even aid with the development of a nationwide application.

1.2 Why are you requesting?

Proper education is one of the most essential requirements nowadays. Especially in

acquiring a high paying job. According to Philippine Statistics Authority, it was
estimated that the portion of poor Filipinos whose per capital income is not sufficient
to meet their basic food and non-food needs was 23.7 percent. Programs where
teachers, despite the difficulty of travelling to rural areas, thrive to teach children that
has no access to proper education. We are asking the Department of Education
(DepEd)to sponsor this initiative so that we can collaborate with them as they
continue to make education more accessible. This smart device aims to make
education for young children, especially to those living in rural areas, more
accessible and convenient while also providing them the same learning
competencies with children with the same age learning in schools. The project will be
implemented in collaboration with Local Government agencies such as DepEd and
will involve parents and students. With the support of DepEd, we can implement the
“Wheels of Knowledge” through programs that can help raise fund for this project.
