deliver two shots for us! Press this button and pop the cup under both cups for a gorgeous 2 shots . You should aim for an extraction number of approximately 30 to know you’ve made the perfect shot!
*If someone asks for a ‘strong’ coffee of
any kind in a small 8oz cup, you would also follow the same steps. COFFESS, YOU MUST USE DOUBLE SHOT BUTTONG TO GIVE YOU TWO SHOTS Have-here cups holding MILK BASED COFFEES ! For these lil’ babies, we just need one, single shot! This is awesome because it means we can make two at a time on the one coffee head using the double shot button which will deliver a single shot from each spout. If you are just making the one coffee, still press the double shot button but only use the coffee that comes out of one spout and discard the other one (or keep it in another cup in case a new coffee order pops up in the next few minnies and then you’ve already got a shot prepped, woohoo!
*If someone asks for a strong have here,
give them two shots, so just use the full extraction from both spouts.
In summary: for all HAVE-HERE COFFEES,
YOU MUST USE DOUBLE SHOT BUTTON AND THEN USE ONLY THE COFFEE EXTRACTED FROM ONE SPOUT TO GIVE YOU A SINGLE SHOT
LONG BLACK COFFEES: Always gimme TWO SHOTS, whether I am in a have-
here or in takeaway cup. If someone asks for a takeaway long black, they will almost always want it in a small 8oz cup – so, fill up to only halfway (no more please!) with hot water and then, run a double shot over the top, onto the surface of the water. Same deal for ‘have-here’—fill your little mug up halfway with water and then run a lovely double shot over the top! *always add the coffee to the surface of water, not the other way around, as then we will have a nice crema! *If someone asks for a large long black – ask them if they simply want it stronger, in which case you would just add an extra shot to make three over the same amount of water, or , if they just want a bigger baby (or not so baby coffee), I’d just fill the same small 8oz cup up to ¾ full with water, and then add three shots of coffee to the water. How many shots? Small takeaway 8oz cup: Gimme 1 ½ shots! (press mode) Targe takeaway 12oz cup: Gimme 2 shots! Have-here cup: Gimme 1 single shot! Strong coffee in small takeaway 8oz cup: Gimme 2 shots! Strong coffee in large takeaway 12oz cup: Gimme 3 shots! Long black: always 2 shots unless customer asks for weak or strong in which case you’d do a single or tripe shot respectively!
