Rectangular tank sizing Calculation

Objectives

- To calculate the thickness of tank plates


- To determine the size of stiffening frame for tank
- To determine dry and test weights

Assumptions

- Specific gravity of liquid is 1


- Acceleration due to gravity is 9.81 m/s2
- Density of steel is 7850 kg/m3
- Minimum Distance between stiffeners = 1.05m
