Application Programming & Development (APD)

Application Programming & Development or APD is the practical component

to be taken up in the 5th, 6th and 7th sem of the MTech (IT) program.

This self learning and application-oriented component aims to equip the

student with skills required for an end-to-end development of a software
application.

The student is expected to choose an appropriate topic (problem) in the 5th

semester. Once chosen, the same topic has to be continued till the end of the
SDLC cycle in the 7th semester.

The various phases to be covered in each semester / APD are highlighted in

the Evaluation document.

Please note that the entire work done can be rejected if two or more students
are found to have produced identical reports; While we understand that some
topics may seem similar, they can’t obviously be identical.

Each student has to prepare a Report of the work done and produce that
during the Viva-voce exam. The report has to be as per the guidelines given
in the template.

The Viva voce evaluation will be done by an examiner appointed by VIT

University, and has to be done in person. If you miss it for ANY reason, there
is no Make-up for the same, and you will be required to take it up as an Arrear
later. If you are not able to take the Viva Voce, then please submit the Report
in advance to the VIT Coordinator so that you get the Internal marks. If you
fail to do so, then the Internal marks will be marked as zero.

Best Wishes
