Experiment 4 Wall Crane
Experiment 4 Wall Crane
Theoretical background:
Whenever a body is subjected to a number of forces there will be net effect of all
these forces on the body. The various forces acting on the body. The various forces
acting in order for a system to remain in equilibrium, there must be some
neutralization force so that it is equal in magnitude but opposite in direction to net
effect of all forces. This force is called “EQUILIBRIANT” under this condition,
system will be in equilibrium.
Procedure:
1. First of all set apparatus and measure the fix distance of wall crane i.e. AB,
AD, BC&CD which remains constant throughout experiment.
6. Select a suitable scale & draw the forces then calculate T2 and Q2.
