PSFF (PICPA Short Film Festival)


I-Rationale

Digital short film-making has now been a trend in our society. This year, PICPA-CDO Misamis Oriental in
cooperation with Uptown Rotary Club of CDO, CCJPIA, BFJPIA and GIJPIA aim to expose the hidden
talent of every JPIAns and PICPAns in short film-making.

II- Contest Rules and Mechanics

1. Each JPIA chapter/school/PICPA sub organizations within the jurisdiction of the participating
PICPA and JPIA chapters is given the freedom to create their own concept of their short film.
2. The films should promote the accountancy professions in general. It is suggested that any or a
combination of the following values must be depicted in the film:

PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE -We are committed to Excellence in all aspects of our


professional practice.
INTEGRITY-We advocate the TRUTH and conduct ourselves at all times with honesty,
uprightness and adherence to sound moral principles, thereby gaining the respect of the public.
COMMITMENT-We bind ourselves to uphold these ideals to ensure the accomplishment of
PICPA's Vision and Mission.
PARTNERSHIP and TEAMWORK-We uphold a strong bond of unity, working in the spirit of
harmony and commonality.
ADVOCACY for DISCIPLINE-We strictly adhere to the code of professional conduct adopted by
PICPA to ensure highest spiritual, moral and ethical standards.
NEW TECHNOLOGIES and INNOVATIONS-We seek and apply new ideas to improve
performance. We continuously promote creativity, flexibility and resourcefulness amidst constant
change.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY-We commit ourselves to a strong, active and devoted sense of duty to
society.

3. The scenes must not be vulgar, obscene nor violent.


4. The short film should be at least 15 but no more than 22 minutes excluding the credits.
5. Credits are limited to a maximum of three (3) minutes only.
6. The actors of each film should be bona fide JPIAns of the respective School for the 1 st semester of
2019-2020.
7. The entire film must be subtitled in English regardless of language/dialect used.
8. General theme for this year: should have a connection to the accountancy profession in general.
9. All entries submitted to PICPA shall become their property.
