BONIFACIO ST, DAVAO CITY

CTE IGNITES Projects

Maestro Awards

About the Advocacy:

In the pursuit of achieving equity in education, the University of the Immaculate

Conception's College of Teacher Education Student Council aims to establish socio-civic
responsibilities towards a better society. This advocacy seeks to provide a movement that
are based  from the University's IGNITES framework and is community-based since these
are the embedded values in the Philippine Constitution.

As pre-service teachers of the University of the Immaculate Conception, we want to

instill the Ignacian Marian way in serving the people not only as future teachers, but also as
the citizens of the Philippines who are capable of helping the people and promoting true
essence of leadership.

With our established socio-civic responsibilities, the essence of our advocacy is best
achieved when our council will work together for donation drives in times of calamities,
emergency-help movement for CTE students and of the UIC Community in times of despair,
and limited forms of donation drives for a cause. Our lives are made to be challenged but
when the pandemic started, we were able to witness the real arena of less-privileged and
financially-capable people.

The College of Teacher Education Student Council or the CTE-SC believes that it is
time to make use of our power and blessings to achieve equity in the society. And with that,
we are more than ready to work for socio-civic responsibilities. For we believe that as a
teacher, we are born to fight for and help the people, teach and inspire them to aspire for
something, and allow them to be happy even only at the smallest count of help.

And as pre-service teachers, we want to establish ourselves as an image of hope

and with this advocacy, we can transform tomorrow and nurture more lives.
