Code of Ethics
American Psychological Association
The Ethics Code is intended to provide
guidance for psychologists and
standards of professional conduct that
can be applied by the APA and by other
bodies that choose to adopt them. The
Ethics Code is not intended to be a basis
of civil liability​.
The development of a dynamic set of
ethical standards for psychologists'
work-related conduct requires a
personal commitment and lifelong
effort to act ethically; to encourage
ethical behavior by students,
supervisees, employees, and
colleagues; and to consult with others
concerning ethical problems.
Psychological Association of the
Philippines
The PAP provides the philosophical
foundation for many of the other
ethical principles governing the various
professions. Respect for dignity
recognizes the inherent worth of all
human beings, regardless of perceived
or real differences in social status,
ethnic origin, gender, capacities, or
other such characteristics.
I. Active concern for the
well-being of individuals,
families, groups, and
communities;
II. Taking care to do no harm to
individuals, families, groups,
and communities;
III. Maximizing benefits and
minimizing potential harm to
individuals, families, groups,
and communities;

Ethical codes are made for the
wellbeing of people and also for the
safety of information and
professionalism of the job. For example,
when a psychologist have a client. The
information passed down to him by the
client in a form of obtaining data. The
psychologist are not in any way, judge,
copy, violate the rights of the person in
respect for the clientele privacy and for
ethical codes.
These standards are what psychologist
needed to acquire to obtain
professionalism and care on the
profession. These standards are not
only focused on a client, because the
field of this profession is wide that it
extends to education, training,
advertising, tests, medical exams,
society, community and also animal
safety. These are to be followed in
response to the ethical codes to avoid
conflict leading to punishable
consequences in regards to the law.
