Vision, Teamwork, Community focus
My experience working
in local government, with
many community groups
and recently the Community
Board will stand me in good
stead to be a strong advocate
for all communities in
Mercury Bay. Hard work,
willingness to consult and
listen, determination and
drive are traits you can
expect from me.
I would encourage input
from our younger generation and use local knowledge
to identify and determine how our communities
may look in 20-30 years time. We should have a
“big picture” outlook instead of a short-term focus
Consultation requires teamwork to achieve our objectives.
Teamwork within the community, between the community
and the Council and within Council itself. Community
empowerment is a strong driver in reaching decisions.
Priorities
• Shoreline Management Plans
• Cleaner waterways
• Efficient waste disposal
• Safe drinking water
• Tourist Management strategy
• Green waste facility for South Mercury Bay
• Rates Affordability.
We require transparency and effective communication to
ensure all elected representatives are held to account.

Together we can make Mercury Bay an

outstanding place to live and visit.
