Solar Physics Research Group, Rice University – Houston, TX Undergraduate Researcher August 2019 – Present
• Develop machine learning algorithm (Random Forest) to recover damaged data from a telescope
• Verify data recovered using previous data under a similar physical condition
• Ensure the entirety of the data before a new telescope is deployed and make the algorithm applicable to other data recovery job

Polaris & Dawn Consulting – Beijing, China Management Intern June 2019 – August 2019
• Developed a course scheduling system using Python (pandas) to accelerate the workflow
• Used Google Map API to develop configured maps to help customers understand different school
• Automated the scheduling and feedback system between consultants, teachers and clients and saved 10 hours of manual work

Bonner Nuclear Laboratory, Rice University – Houston, TX Undergraduate Research Assistant May 2018 – August 2018
• Analyzed the data of tens of millions of collisions of J/psi mesons and strange charm mesons collected from LHC
• Used boost decision tree, rectangular cut and MLP to train the data to get a better selection of the signal through TMVA
• Manipulated data stored in trees and visualized them via ROOT
• Optimized the C++ software in the Linux environment and increased the signal significance by 200%
