Inspection highlights: 1) Refer to Photo No. 42


and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. recommends the use of our genuine long life
MHI recommendations coolant "GLASSY long life coolant, which are most appropriate coolant for
Mitsubishi diesel engines.

The rack height for the Fuel Day Tank needs to be higher.
Refer to MHI Installation guide for Fuel Day Tank as follows:-
The Lowest Fuel Level is lower than the Fuel Injection Pump center line,
must be 1 m or less.
For the MHI engines, the maximum and negative heads between injection pump
and tank fuel level are specified. The head between fuel level at fuel tank and
injection pump creates pressure at the fuel inlet of barrel, thereby causing
dilution. When large pressure is applied to the pump fuel inlet during engine
stop, fuel leaked from a clearance between plunger and barrel may dilute
lubricating oil.
In planning to install fuel day tank, the height of tank and support or their
arrangement must be taken into consideration (See below Fig.).

The Radiator Core Fin has heavy damage. It is important to replace the Core Fin
to make sure good cooling performance of the Radiator.

Conclusion: A) This is a Canopy DG Set and it is very important to keep the engine clean so as to
detect any leakages or engine trouble easily and take early encounter action.
We hope all rectifications are carried out for items highlighted in the Photo
Report.

B) MHI strongly recommends carrying out maintenance as per “RECOMMEND


MAINTENANCE SCHDEULE FOR DIESEL ENGINE GENERATOR SET”, referring
attached in the folder, to achieve the generator performance reliability.
