Airflow and Duct Diameter Chart

This airflow chart shows friction loss in inches of water per 100 feet for different air velocities. It can be used to calculate pressure drops in ducts and components. Lines of constant velocity run diagonally, while lines of constant friction loss run horizontally. Higher velocities and longer duct runs result in greater friction losses that must be accounted for in system designs.
