INTRODUCTION

 Background of the Study

To develop the Online Hotel Reservation, the work is started by gather information about the topic.
The technology such as software and hardware needed to develop the study are decided. To gather
requirements of this study, discussion is held within supervisor and hotel staffs.

After studying and analyzing the flow of the current system of hotel, the proponents would like to
recommend the following: the system proves to be fast accurate convenient, efficient and reliable for
the process of reservation. The proponent developed an online reservation system suitable for the
hotel; the system could save time, effort in filling and monitoring.

Hotel reservation system plays a great role and has a potential effect on day to day performance
measures, this type of system have highly evolved from decades due to high demand for their use,
effective and efficiency in any given institutions. Due to the rapid change of technology the use of such
system has become a necessity to any given high learning institution for better performance and be
used with quite a large number of users at the same time but it can save time, resources and creates
awareness of the evolving technology.

A leading web application online hotel reservation system let you connect with global clients by
providing them the unique search and book functionality. This online hotel reservation system is
designed for any hotel, motel or travel websites. Customers and any travel agents can make searches,
reservations and cancel an existing reservation on the hotel reservation’s web site. Administrator can
add or update the hotel and the room information approve/disapprove a new travel agent’s account
application and generates a monthly occupancy rate report for each hotel.

The Hotel Reservation System Software is intended to provide a computer based system that will
assist in managing in a guest. Many typical functions involved in operating a hotel will be automated
through software to improve the operational workflow within a facility, for instance maintaining a guest
rooms to be check in. in addition, tasks like processing invoices and printing guests reports will be
available within the program to minimize the time that administrative staff must spend creating these
documents. This requirements Specification will describe these as well as many other features of the
software in greater detail.

 Objective of the study


 General Objective
 The study aim to develop a reservation system to help them solve underlying problems with
their manual reservation system such as consuming time money and effort.
 Specific objective
 Specifically, the proposed system aims:
 To help speed up the process.
 To automated the manual reservation
 To standardized the reservation system with the list of guests.
 To reduce the amount of time to and effort consume by the customer to reserve.
 Provide user account and password to ensure the security of stored files.
 To least their expenses in making reservation.
 Scope and Limitation of the Study
 Scope The system will cover the following:

 The main scope and delimitation of Ariel and Fe Resort and Restaurant is to create a
computerized reservation form. Thus, it will reduce the number of time need to fill up the form
physically. The system will also provide the information about packages of the restaurant gives
information about the company. The system will also provide the reports of the customer. It can
also Add, Save, Delete Records and Update events etc.

 The System is not Online-Based System so it cannot provide a long-term access for the future
user unless the proponent will updated the system or maintenance it, and when the Customer
have a reservation problems they need to go in the restaurant to report their problems.
 Definitions of Terms
 Reservation: the action of reserving something.
 Standardized: cause (something) to conform to a standard.
 Delimited: determine the limits or boundaries of a system.
 Scope: the extent of the area or subject matter that something deals with or to which it is
relevant.
 Aims: a purpose or intention; a desired outcome.
 Event Management – is the proposed system for Ariel and Fe Resort and Restaurant.
Reservation is the main area of this system. But it can also retrieve and restore data of the
Customer.

 Manager – the manager are the ones that benefit for the proposed system for them to have
a better service.

 CRO – the CRO is the one in charge in managing the reservation of the restaurant.
 .Significance of the Study
 The result of this study is beneficial to the following:
 Reservation System is very Significant to those who reserves and to the manager who
makes reservation. Instead of wasting their time and effort of making reservations
manually, the proposed system will make a better and much easier way of reserving
foods and occasions. Fewer burdens to those who waste their time in signing up the
manual system.
 The Following is Significant of the Project:
 To the CRO.
 By the use of the System, works of the CRO can be less and easy to retrieve data and
collecting information needed comparing to the Existing System(manual system) and it
well beneficial to them because it will not take too long for the reservation process. And
he / she manage the confirmation of a reserve for each event.
 To the Management.
 With the help of the System, the manager is the one who beneficially can easily access,
retrieve the events that the Customer reserves all the way he/she reserves something,
manage the summary and report for the reservation of the event and it can add, edit
and delete records.
 To the Restaurant.
 In the help of the system, it will beneficial to their Company especially to their
Reservation process.
 To the Accountant – the accountant is the one in charge in managing the reservation of the
payment of the customer.
