HOW TO CREATE MY PORTFOLIO

PORTFOLIO SECTIONS

1. THIS IS ME
This first page is where you will post a picture, video or any kind of media in English that
defines you or that you find interesting. You will also have to add a short description of
yourself in English (name, age, academic program, semester, hobbies, qualities and something
interesting about yourself).

2. MY ENTRANCE LANGUAGE PASSPORT

You will have to upload your language passport to this section. It is necessary that you
convert your PDF passport to a JPG file (image file). To do that, use the following link and
follow the instructions: https://www.ilovepdf.com/es/pdf_a_jpg
When you download the images, upload them to your portfolio like this:
a. Click on Edit this page.

b. Click on Upload Image/ File.

c. Upload the first image following these steps. When you finish, follow the same steps for
images 2 and 3.

Besides the format of the passport, you will have to upload a reflection on your level, based on the
diagnostic test you did in the second class, with your teacher. Think about these questions:
1. Is your level of English as good/bad as you thought, before the diagnostic test?
2. What’s the skill that requires the most attention?
3. Do you think your motivation is important for your process?
4. Can you think of any strategies to improve your weakness skill?

3. MY STRATEGIES

Here you will have to upload the work done with one strategy you choose from the bank of
learning strategies offered in Canvas. This section has to include three evidences, in three
different moments during the term, of the use and relevance of this strategy.

4. HAVING FUN WITH ENGLISH

This section allows you to upload and share anything you want: videos, memes, pictures,
texts… The idea is that you explore the English language on your own and find this you are
interested in. Upload as many elements as you want and make sure they can evidence that
you are exploring different and fun way to learn/practice English.

5. MY EXIT LANGUAGE PASSPORT

You will need to fill out the passport at the end of the semester and follow the same
instructions you followed for the second section. Compare your passports and see how much
your level and perspectives change!
