With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes:
- respond to a range of questions on a variety of themes according to the CEFR
level B2.
- communicate with an adequate level of fluency and accuracy through the
interaction with non-native speakers by presenting clear and thorough
explanations of events utilizing technology tools.
- read any material in which the writer uses certain grammatical structures and
vocabulary to complete various objectives at CEFR level B2.
- write clear, comprehensive texts on a wide range of topics using a variety of
writing assignments at CEFR level B2.
- comprehend the basic idea(s) of general audios on concrete and abstract
issues, including technical talks via lectures and dialogues at the upper
intermediate level.
The activity consists of:

Pre-Task

Step 1
- Go to the Initial Environment and introduce yourself in the Social Interaction
forum found under the tab Course General forum. Be sure to read the Course

Director’s message to follow the instructions given there. Take a nice
screenshot of your participation.
Step 2
- In the Course News you will find a post named APA Template. Open the
message and download the Word File. That’s the template you will use to
deliver all the tasks in this course.
Step 3
- Check the internal mail of the course and read the welcoming message of your
Course Director. There will be specific instructions for you to follow. Take a
screenshot once the action is done.

During Task

Step 1
- Go to https://www.efset.org/, click on Log In and then click on CREATE YOUR
EF ACCOUNT. Click on SIGN UP WITH EMAIL and fill in the information. Be sure
to use your official name (as shown in your ID) when creating the account so
that your name is reflected in the certificate. Once you finish registering, your
profile icon will show in the upper right corner of the screen. Click on Test your
English now, and have a try with the 15-minute quick check test to get familiar
with the platform.

- Once you finish, scroll down and in Recommended for you, click on Take 50-
min EF SET. Once you are finished taking the 50-minute test, share your
results on Twitter by tagging your tutor and copy the View Certificate URL to
place in the document you will send for evaluation.

Step 2
- Go to https://app.smalltalk2.me/auth/signup and create your account. You will
get an e-mail to activate it. Go to Speaking Practice to try it out before the
actual test.

- Once you finish practicing, go to SmallTalk English Speaking Level Test and
read the instructions there before starting. Be sure to have a good connection,
a working microphone and, if possible, headphones to avoid background noise.
At the end of the test, you will click on ANALYZE to get your report, or you can
try again by clicking on RETRY.

- It would take a while before getting your report. Once the analysis is done, look
carefully at your report; it shows your performance in a very detailed way.
Scroll down and find the SHARE bottom. Once you click on Share, copy the link

to be shared on Twitter and paste it in the document you will send for
evaluation forum.

Step 3
- Go to Write & Improve with Cambridge (writeandimprove.com) and create a
profile. You will get an e-mail to activate it. To start this step, choose
Intermediate. There are many tasks to select from, however, you need to focus
on only one task “An essay: Language learning” on page 33. Follow the
instructions to the T to give answer to the writing prompt. For an intermediate
level, you should write between 140 and 190 words in an appropriate style. If
you want to go higher, write more.

- It won’t take too long to get a level. Click on Check and get your feedback.
Take a good screenshot of your results to be placed in the document you will
send for evaluation.

Post-Task

Step 1
- Share your EF SET certificate and your SmallTalk Report by tagging your tutor’s
name on Twitter.

Step 2
- Share you Write & Improve with Cambridge report screenshot in the Discussion
forum for the task.

Step 3
- Take some time to write the references used in this task. You need to reference
your report links (EF SET and SmallTalk) and your screenshot (Write & Improve
with Cambridge). Your Twitts. Finally, reference this Activity Guide.

Step 4
- Upload a PDF file using the provided template. Identify your file as follows:
