11-ABM Tangerine Honesty Store Opening

We consulted the parents and the PTA officers about our honesty store
opening on the PTA meeting last June 21, 2019. The officers willingly agreed
to give us our capital to help start our honesty store.

The planning started on June 24, 2019, Monday. The class officers of Grade
11 ABM Tangerine together with our adviser, Mrs. Cancino had a meeting to
talk about how to spend the fund that was donated by the PTA Officers
which is a total of 400 Pesos. We started talking about our long-term goals
and the possible outcome if our store succeeds. It was also settled then, the
kinds of food we will sell and what strategy we will use to have a creative

soft-opening.
On June 28, 2019, Friday we, the officers had another meeting to assign the
tasks to each person needed to perform it. Food preparation was assigned
to our Business Manager, Erika Jade Pegenia. The management of the funds
was designated to our President and Treasurer, Rachel Arce and Sixto Lusa.
While the rest of the officers were tasked as the designing team. On this
day, we also started putting up the sign that reads "ABM Honesty Store".
We also started putting the table and other decorations in place to
minimize the work needed to be done on the actual opening.

The day of the event, July 1, 2019, we arrived very early to add the
necessary changes and to check if everything was prepared smoothly. We
arranged the table, chairs, food and the decorations before class. Doing the
other tasks beforehand was a good thing because we avoided having to
cram on the day of our honesty store opening. Our entire class helped in
their own ways. Some students just stayed inside and kept quiet while we
are preparing. While the others, despite not being elected as officers, also
volunteered to help make our work easier and to be ready on time.
Our soft-opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was held at 10:30 in the
morning until 11. Most of the senior high school teachers and our Principal,
Mr. Lopez attended the event. The PTA President, Mr. Baylon was also
present here. It was hosted by our Public Information Officer, John Kenneth
Gilo and the ribbon was cut by our adviser together with our class
President, our Principal and our Senior High School Coordinator, Mrs.
Rivera.

When the event ended, we hurriedly cleaned up for our next class. Students
from other strands also attended to watch the soft-opening and to buy our
products. After our classes, our President, Vice President, Jyra Cabalquinto,
Treasurer and Michaella Altijar were tasked to make the inventory to see if
we had earned profit from the said opening.
