Introduction

Significances of the training

Work Immersion is one of the graduation requirements. A senior high school student must complete

a work immersion program in an industry that is directly related to the student's postsecondary goal. Work

Immersion exposes students to and familiarizes them with work-related environments related to their field of

specialization in order to improve their competence. Students are able to: gain relevant and practical

industrial skills under the supervision of industry experts and workers; appreciate the importance and

application of the principles and theories taught in school; improve their technical knowledge and skills;

broaden their skills in communications and human relations; and develop good work habits, attitudes,

appreciation, and respect for work. These prepare them to meet the demands and challenges of

postsecondary education or employment in the near future.

Objectives of On-The-Job-Training

The work Immersion is a key feature in the senior high school curriculum. It can be

conducted in different ways depending on the purposes and needs of leaners. It was stated in

the guidelines that work immersion will help develop among learner life and career, skills and

employment gearing towards the four exits envisioned for SHS graduates to choose from

employments, entrepreneurship, further skills training thought college education.

Time and Place of On-The-Job-Training

Background of the Company

MONTESSORI PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE is derived from Maria Montessori of

Italy who was the first Italian woman physician famous in developing educational materials

and methods based on her belief that children learn best by doing, not by positively accepting

other people's ideas and preexisting knowledge. this was considered to be an innovative

concept. Also, this idea of learning used to promote active personal pursuit of many different

experiences: Physical, social, emotional, and cognitive. With these materials Montessori

devised an environment in which such learning could be created. And thus, she opened her

first school in 1907. Since then, Montessori schools spread throughout Europe, Canada,

United States of America, Australia and Asia, also in the Philippines. The President and its

founder; Danilo Magsino Dy, founder of Montessori Professional College has quite a number

of accomplishments in his life- as a businessman, as a politician, as a philosopher and most of

all, as an educator. His great love and concern is education, which leads him towards

community assistance to the youth, most especially to the least privileged members of

society. The founder reflected and inspired by the idea of opening a school patterned to the

Montessori Schools in the United States of America has established the Montessori

Professional College in 1997. this aspiration to open up a school became a reality in 1997

when MONTESSORI

President/ School Director (Mr. Edgardo A. Baybayan)-A president is the

supervisor of all employees, including teachers, maintenance workers, administrative staffers,

and any other employee of the school. Given the responsibilities held by principals, there are

several general skills and traits that are necessary to be an effective principal of a school. The

role of a president is to provide strategic direction in the school system. President develops

standardized curricula, assess teaching methods, monitor student achievement, encourage

parent involvement, revise policies and procedures, administer the budget, hire and evaluate

staff and oversee facilities.

School Administrator/ OIC (Ms. Felicisima M. Miranda- School Administrators

oversee administrative tasks in schools, colleges or other educational institutions. They

ensure that the organization runs smoothly and they also manage facilities and staff.

The duties of school administrators may vary depending on the size and type of

school they work in. For example, school administrators in small day care centers (where

they may be the only member of the administrative team) have different scope of

responsibility than at a large college (where they may specialize in a specific area).

Generally, though, School Administrators manage budgets, handle logistics and act as a point

of reference for everyone in the school.

School Principal (Ms. Angelika C. Cañedo)- A school principal is a primary leader

in a school building. A good leader always leads by example. A principal should be positive,

enthusiastic, have his hand in the day-to-day activities of the school, and listen to what his

constituents are saying. An effective leader is available to teachers, staff members, parents,

students, and community members. He stays calm in difficult situations, thinks before acting,

and puts the needs of the school before himself. An effective principal step up to fill in holes

as needed, even if it isn’t a part of his daily routine.

Registrar (Ms. Marisse R. Delgado)-A high school registrar is the person who is

responsible for maintaining accurate and confidential records relating to high school students

and their academic performance. This is a position which works in an office and will keep

hours commensurate with the school system.

Teachers-A Teacher is responsible for preparing lesson plans and educating students

at all levels. Their duties include assigning homework, grading tests, and documenting

progress. Teachers must be able to instruct in a variety of subjects and reach students with

engaging lesson plans.

Facilities

School Lobby-A lobby is a room in a building used for entry from the outside.

Sometimes referred to as a foyer, reception area or an entrance hall, it is often a large room or

complex of rooms (in a theatre, opera house, concert hall, showroom, cinema, etc.) adjacent

to the auditorium. It may be a repose area for spectators, especially used before performance

and during intermissions, but also as a place of celebrations or festivities after performance.

Registrar’s office- Typically, a registrar processes registration requests, schedules

classes and maintains class lists, enforces the rules for entering or leaving classes, and keeps

a permanent record of grades and marks. In institutions with selective admission

requirements, a student only begins to be in connection with the registrar's official actions

after admission.

Task Performed

Since we are in pandemic up until today, there is some things that are limited to do

and the example of this is work emmersion or ojt of every grade 12 students. But we are

required and still need to complete atleast 15 hours or work immersion or ojt.

Over All Reaction

My overall reaction on the days I spent in the on-the-job as a trainee is memorable. At

first I found it boring because I’m not used to do it, but as the times goes by it was awesome

experienced. I’m fortunate enough because my groupmates are friendly and they are all

approachable and I don’t felt any out of place, yes it’s just short period of time and it only

happened in our school but at least I still manage to accomplish all the responsibilities and

tasks given to me .I take it seriously in order to make my self ready for the future atleast I

have the knowledge and enlightenment .Having this kind of experience really help me a lot to

have a deeper understanding on what will be the possible happening in the working area

connected to the track I chose.

I’m incredibly fortunate, because I experience these kinds of things that can add up to my

knowledge and gives me some realization that no matter how hard my task it will be easy

because I have the goal to achieved that’s why I strive more.
