Specification Requirements:
• Dimensions: Federal Specification RR-C-271F, Type IVA, Grade A, Class 2.
• Material & Mechanical
Properties: Carbon Steel
Proof and breaking strength per Federal Specification RR-C-271D,
Grade A, Class 2.
• Thread requirements: FED-STD.H28 UNC Class 1.
• Product Marking: Each shackle body shall be permanently and legibly marked in raised or
stamped letters on the side of the shackle bow with the identifying
manufacturer's name or trademark, shackle size, and the WLL. As a
minimum, all shackle pins and bolts shall be marked with the
manufacturer's mark or symbol;
• Finish: Safety yellow paint.
