MINUTES OF THE SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 02, 2019 AT BARANGAY HALL, BARANGAY SAN
GREGORIO, CABA, LA UNION.

Also, 10 KK members attended and participated during the SK Special Elections.

REGISTRATION:
Registration started at early as 7:00 in the morning of February 03, 2019.

CALL TO ORDER:
SK Chairman William Jay M. Quiñones, called the election meeting to order at 10:00 in
the morning.

PRAYER:
It was led by Pastor Ferdinand D. Abenes.

PAMBANSANG AWIT:
The singing of the Lupang Hinirang was led by Angel Joy Cielo

WELCOME REMARKS:
SK Chairman William Jay M. Quiñones delivered her/his welcome remarks to the
members of the Katipunan ng Kabataan.

PRESENTATION OF THE BOARD OF ELECTION SUPERVISORS AND CANVASS

AND ELECTIONS COMMITTEE:
SK Chairman William Jay M. Quiñones presented to the group the members of the Board
of Election Supervisors and the members of the Canvass and Elections Committee. Also she
discussed the process of the special elections.

NOMINATIONS:
After the presentation of the committees, the CEC proceeded with the nominations. As
the CEC Chairman, SK Chairman William Jay M. Quiñones opened the table for nominations for
the one (4) vacant SK Kagawad position. The following as candidate who are duly qualified for
their respective offices/positions:
For SK member:
1. Emman Castillon
2. Almera Krem T. Picardal
3. Claudine C. Tangalin
4. Angel Joy T. Cielo
 Nominees delivered their five-minute speech before the KK voters.

ELECTION PROPER:
The CEC proceeded with the voting proper. Voters casted their votes individually at an
area designated for voting.

The Canvass and Election Committee who acted in concurrent capacity as the Board of
Canvassers publicly counted and canvassed the ballots cast. One of the members used the Tally
Sheet posted in front for the purpose.

The following were the results:

For the vacant SK member position:
1. Emman Castillon - 10 votes
2. Almera Krem T. Picardal - 10 votes
3. Claudine C. Tangalin - 10 votes
4. Angel Joy T. Cielo - 10 votes

Based on the said preceding results of the votes canvassed, the Canvass and Election
Committee proclaimed the following as the winning candidates for the vacant Sangguniang
Kabataan member of Barangay San Gregorio, Caba, La Union:

SK member 1 - Emman Castillon

SK member 2 - Claudine C. Tangalin
SK member 3 - Angel Joy T. Cielo
SK member 4 - Almera Krem T. Picardal
REMARKS:
There were twenty-three (23) Katipunan ng mga Kabataan registered during the special
registration intended for this special election and ten (10) came and casted their votes.
Low participation of the youth can be attributed to their non-interest in the SK.

ADJOURNMENT:

The election was adjourned at 1:00PM.
