Preparation
Photocopy one board game for each group of three to four students. Photocopy
one True and False card for each student.

Procedure
1 Ask students to make groups of three to four.
2 Explain they are going to play a game. Pass out a board game to each group,
as well as one True card and one False card to each student.
3 Tell students they are going to take turns asking and answering questions,
using the question prompts. One student in each group should choose a
question and ask it to the student on his or her right. Point out that students
should use use to in the question. Emphasize they can ask the questions in
any order.
4 Explain to students that when it is their turn to answer a question, they can
either choose to tell the truth or a lie. The other students in the group must
ask further questions to find out whether they are telling the truth or not.
When they have asked enough questions to come to a decision, the other
students should each put a True or False card on the desk. Their classmate
should then reveal whether he or she was telling the truth. Once a question
has been answered, it is crossed out, and the turn falls to the next student.
5 If necessary, go over the prompts and review the correct full form of each
question as a class before students begin.
6 Have students play the game. Monitor and check for accuracy using the simple
past and used to.
