Summer Internship - Research Project | Institute of Reservoir Studies (IRS), ONGC. May 2019 - June 2019
• Internship project topic - Screening of New Chemicals and Core Flood studies for Chemical EOR.
• Literature survey on the chemical-enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods which include the flooding of various chemicals
as polymers, surfactants, alkalis, and their combinations to increase the residual oil saturation (ROS).
• Standardized a titrimetric analysis technique for carboxylate based anionic surfactants and an orthogonal titrimetric
analysis technique for the mixture of both sulphonate and carboxylate based anionic surfactants.
• Performed Phase Behavior experiments to optimize the chemical combinations for the best micro-emulsion formation,
Compatibility & Thermal Stability studies of various chemicals combinations for further core flood studies.
• Tested cationic, anionic and zwitter-ionic surfactants for Wettability Alteration of a reservoir rock.
• Observed the core flood experiment at Laboratory scale and studied about its specifications, standards, and procedure.
Industrial Training | Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Visakh Refinery. May 2018 - June 2018
• Studied the pressure-balanced & slide-valve operations of Reactor-Regenerator in the Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit.
• Observed the process operations & studied the process chemistry of FCC along with the catalyst behavior.
Projects
Classification and Optimization of Water-Filtration Technique | IIT Roorkee September 2017 - October 2018
• Optimized a technique to remove Iron and Arsenic from the groundwater source to obtain drinkable water using
conventional techniques- Adsorption and Coagulation.
• Tested heavy metal concentration of water samples of villages named Beladi, Sahlapur, Puranpur & Meerpur.
• Identified a naturally occurring substance which substantially removes Iron from water.

Drinking Water Anatomization of Roorkee | IIT Roorkee September 2017 - October 2017
• Objective was to test pollutants level in drinking water from various location of Roorkee.
• Use of Ion chromatography, Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectroscopy (ICP-MS), TDS & Potentiometric pH meter.
