Bandung - West Java Regional Police dismantled the budget corruption claims
of the Social Security Administration Agency (BPJS) in Lembang Hospital, West
Bandung Regency, valued at Rp 7.7 billion. Two suspects were arrested for the
case.
The corrupt practice of claiming the BPJS Health budget was carried out by the
suspect, the former Head of the UPT with the initials OH and the Treasurer of
the Lembang District Hospital with the initials MS. Corruption lasts from 2017
to 2018.
"After BPJS funds entered into the account, the two suspects OH and MS only
made a partial deposit," Truno told reporters at the West Java Police
Headquarters, Tuesday (6/8/2019).
He said based on evidence of deposit marks in 2017 and 2018 to the local
treasury, the BPJS claim budget was only Rp 3,712,011,200. While the
remainder was misused by both OH and MS suspects.
"The remaining Rp7,715,323,900 was misused by the two actors. That was the
loss of his country," he said.
According to him the two suspects are currently detained in West Java
Regional Police Detention Center. The second investigation file, he said, had
been submitted to the West Java Prosecutor's Office (AGO) on August 2, 2019.
"At this time the file has been sent to the prosecutor was declared complete
last August 2. Phase two, this week will be carried out the surrender of the
suspect and evidence," he said.
As a result of his actions, the two suspects were charged under Article 2, 3 and
8 of Law No. 20 of 2001 calmly amending the Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning
Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 and 64 of paragraph 1
of the Criminal Code.
"The threat is a maximum of 20 years in prison," said Truno.
