John kricfalusi invented flash animation on October 15th 1997.

The first mainstream use of Flash animation was used by the Ren & Stimpy
creator John Kricfalusi.
He launched “The Goddamn George Liquor Program” which the first cartoon
series produced specifically for the Internet.

Positives:
I think that some of the animations can be pleasant to watch since they are
simple and easier to create.
Negatives:
Most of them are very juddery and have low resolution.
