Report Components
Your lab report will provide images, labeling, and information relating to function/location of each tissue type (see
http://www.ellensavoini.com/?page_id=336), the integumentary system, and bone using histological images. Your
write‐up will include headings for each section (epithelial, connective muscle, and nervous tissue). In each section
you must include a description of the tissue type or image (what the image is), function (what that tissue does), and
location in the body for each tissue on the list. Images must be labeled and features identified. Every effort must be
made to not use the same images as another student. I will grade the labs in order that they were submitted. If
there are images that are already used you may be asked to resubmit your lab with different images.
Grades will be based on the organization, completeness, clarity of images, accuracy of identification or descriptions,
and questions and diagram labeling. The distribution of points are as follows: headings/sections (1 point), accuracy
of observations (2 points), discussion detail and description (2 points), image or video quality in showing features (1
point), questions and image labeling (4 points).
