Q. 1 Explain the following terms: (15)

1. Holistic approach to personality.- An individual plays different roles in the


world of Maya. HE is citizen of a nation, an employee where he works , a manager
having accountability for many things and also father, a son., and husband in the
family. Indian ethos emphasizes all of us are parts of the supreme consciousness,
There is interrelationship among all the animate and inanimate objects of the
universe. So personality to be development ins cu manner that we should be able to
realize to this concept and respect all our fellow beings.

2. Yoga and meditation.- Yoga means unions. Yoga unites atma with the supreme
soul. It cleans mind, control thought process and thus ultimately leads towards
actual reality.Yoga consists the steps : yamas, yogasana, pranayama,
pratyachara,dharana, dhayana, Samadhi. Meditition is a particular state of mind in
which a thoughtless pause for the mind which provide health to the mind. By
plasticizing meditation any one can face life in a better manner because of
balanced mind. The mind become purified , full of love, compassion, healthy
detachment, goodwill and joy. Such mind will always take positive action.

3. Indian concept of leadership.- According to Indian management concept ‘Work


is worship “ for the leader. He does not keep a gap between whatever he is
preaching and the action he is taking. Leader should provide benefit and service to
the society but never talks about it. He should happy when his followers and happy
.He should have faith on god, good observer and a man of principle, with good
time management etc.
4. Corporate karma.- Karma theory, Bhagwatgeeta- which tales human beings to
work according to the value system. Karma theory says man become great by his
work and behavior and not by where he has taken birth. Corporate karma is also
following the same track that whatever is better and best for the society, Good
Karma encourages managing social business. A corporate house having good
karma will also always have a social vision & mission following which they would
proceed ahead. Doing business without purpose or only for the sake of financial
gain leads nowhere. Good Karma leads to transformational social change.
5. Whistle blowing – IT refers to exposure of fraud and abuse by an employee.
When an employee informs against the wrong practices and corruption that
are going on inside the organization to outsiders may be government or law
enforcement agency is known as whistle blowing. W B action is taken to prevent
illegal, immoral, illegitimate or undesirable practice and whistle blowers help to
maintain the sanctity of corporation. Whistle blowing is of two types Internal whistle
blowing and external w.b.

Mr. Shivprasad heads a group of companies that are diversified and quite
professionally run. He is 55 years old and has a daughter Reema aged 28 years and son
Rameshwaw aged 24 years. Reema graduate in Finance from a reputed business school.
Rameshwar graduate in Economics with average performance in studies, but he is
people oriented and has a good support with his father. Reema is professional in
approach and selective in behavior. Ranbaxy is a flagship company which is headed by
Mr. Shivprasad. He inducted Rameshwar in to the company as an HR executive.
Ranbaxy faced a financial crisis resulting in, low morale and employees turn over since
last five years. Some of the board member felt finance area should be tackled first
whereas some felt HR problems should be first solved out first. Both members agreed
on one issue employee- morale is the real priority demanding solution.

Q. 3 Explain how inner peace contributes to the performance of an


Indian manager in stressful corporate life. (10)
Managers face various situation in life where there are so many problems,
so many complexities and so many clashes. They be some disturbed, annoyed and
stressed. By practicing Yoga and meditation, satsang, Vipashana which can give
peace, develop the positive rays in mind and body, and develop more positive
thought to face the complicated life.
In Sannskrit Yoga means unions. Yoga unites atmaIt Yoga means unions. Yoga unites

concentration or focus on one object, dhayana – continuing this focus, Samadhi –
attaining the ultimate motto of Yoga becoming an enlightened personality. Meditition is

free., harmonious life.

A Child is a younger one in a family. As being younger girl child of family she is
cared as well as pampered by all. When a child was of 8 years her life was
tremendously changed. In one accident her mother died even she could not think the
meaning of death. The child was more protected by her elder brother and sister as well
as father. By this means overprotection was gained by her from her stepmother also.
After few years she become a person with soft nature and pampered young girl.
Education has not so much meaningful for her. And she spends her more time in
entertained herself with T V serials and movies. Some professional diplomas was
completed by her and never practices those work in real life.
At a particular young age she got married with a person with graduate resides in city
with good job. So, the young girl never felt to study further and do job or any kind of
business.
Life is never with same waves of joy and happiness. The day came and she collapse as
her husband was declared the employee with ( VRS) voluntary retired by the
organization where he works.
Now, the lady started doing business of cloths and readymade garment. Her catering
business also with recognition in her society and community. But there is no satisfaction
in life and job, as husband was doing nothing.
Other member of family is well settled in business and jobs as they had taken hard work
for the development rather then entertaining themselves. Frustration occurs due to the
comparison with others.

From last many years the matter of Indian Education System was token up by media,
movies, Press. Whether we are producing the well educated people or machines which
can bare the impacts of modern life changes. And a serial producer has decided to
produce a serial which may change the life of Indian students which make them to
become tough and target oriented.
And a marketing research team was appointed on a special project of selection of the
specific time for the program which is educational encouragement for the Indian
students from K. G to P.G. In the program, it is like serial “GURUKUL” in which many
students are living in the Ashram and pertaining the truth, knowledge, awareness and all
skills which are required to become successful in the life. The study is the combination
of all subjects with the objectivity why to study those subjects. With pure honesty and
Indian cultural values and ethos with compare to the rest of world and the historical
impacts of the same on the national cultures. The serial was made and the producing
team has taken a challenge that if this serial will telecast on perfect time it will change
