AFL Football modifications – Group 2

Casey’s Reflection

We modified our football game so that more people can play including: older people, beginners,
disabled people and people that don’t have the full stamina to play a proper game of football.

We did this by:

 Sectioning off half of the oval which makes it easier if you don’t have a good stamina.
 We also used a soft volleyball so it is easier to kick thank a normal football.
 When you hit the post with the ball you get six points and when you get it between the
post you get three points because most people end up hitting the post but it also makes
it a little bit more of a challenge at the same time.

I didn’t get a chance to play our game but I think our strengths were the scoring system because
it will give everyone that goes for the goal a very high chance of getting points.

Our weaknesses were we should have said that each team should be in an age/skill level group.

We modified our game to be inclusive because if someone really wants to play football but can't
find a team that if for the elderly, disabled or doesn't have a good running pace/stamina has the
chance to now play.
