Participation Guidelines

Welcome to Shiksha Learn & Intern 2.0!


As a part of this 3-month long project, you will be performing 2 mandatory tasks and the top
performing individual/team will move forward to the Task-3 (Skill Combat) which is a skill
development & learning activity. Skill Combat is divided into 2 activities based on the team
preference-

Digital Maestro Tech Maestro


Google Paid Advertisement Web Application development using Node.js

A chance to learn & run your own Google A chance to learn & develop your own Node.js
paid advertisements. web application using Javascript, V8 and
Database management.

Evaluation to qualify for Task-3 (Skill Combat: Digital Maestro / Tech Maestro)

Top 2 teams/college will be selected for both Tech Maestro and Digital Maestro
activities respectively.

Top 2 teams will be shortlisted on the basis of the scores in Task-1 and Task-2. Evaluation will
be done on a score of 100 point scale with 70:30 weightage for Task-1 and Task-2 respectively.

Networking Ninja (Task-1)


Every participant has to gather at least 8 honest text reviews from college
students or from any college alumni.
Duration: 15 Days | Weightage: 70%

Task-1 Evaluation Criteria:


Every additional review after the 8th review will fetch bonus point to the participant/team &
help in getting them shortlisted for the Task-3 (Skill Combat).

Quality of reviews- Comprehensiveness (detailed information about the college),


Usefulness (honest reviews with negatives and positives of the college)

Task-1 Process & Guidelines


Minimum 8 published text reviews is the criteria for completing this task, which ensures a
guaranteed certificate of participation.

Process:

Every participant will be provided with a unique link to bring in reviews. They must bring all
their reviews using the same link.

We will keep sharing the update (twice a week) with the participants about their task’s
current status (no of reviews gathered, accepted, rejected and more reviews required) using
mailers.

Guidelines:
If you have previously submitted a college review on Shiksha then it will not be counted
as a part of this project.

Review needs to be authentic and genuine. It should not be copied from anywhere on
the internet.

The review should be unbiased and have both negative and positive elements about
the college

Reviews need to be factual with relevant numbers supporting placements and packages
or any such specific details
Campus Buzz (Task-2)
Every team has to submit 2 videos about their college out of the list of topics
provided in guidelines section by Shiksha. The videos should provide
in-depth genuine answers to the pointers asked in a topic, shot by an
individual with the voice over and with all the details.
Duration: 10 Days | Weightage: 30%

Task-2 Evaluation Criteria:

All mandatory pointers should be answered in the video

Video quality and clarity

Coverage of the non-mandatory questions in every topic will fetch extra scores.

In-depth and genuine information provided as the answers to the pointers in the video

Process:
The video can be made using a camera phone or camera.

The video will be edited by team Shiksha for further improvements.

Video needs to be shared via Google Drive

Every student will be provided with some sample videos and tips from Shiksha to create
these videos

Use of video editing tools is allowed. However, the video should not include any
watermark of copyright except your name.

Guidelines:
Every team has to provide minimum 2 videos on any 2 topics mentioned below.

Quote the source of the information used in the video. (e.g. college admission brochure,
quora, students, placement report or any other)

Video Background needs to be still and clear

Background noise should be negligible

Try making a video in the landscape mode (Holding the phone/camera horizontally

Only one person should be there in the video.

Minimum duration of the video should be 4 minutes.


Quality of the video has to be in HD.

Video should be shared in any of the format- .mp4, .avi, .mpeg, or .mov

Do not include any background music or sound effects.

Person in the video should wear solid colour clothes.

Skill Combat (Task-3)
Top 2 teams of every college (basis the preferred activity selection during
the registration process) will be shortlisted to be a part of each of Skill
development activities.

Activity 1: Digital Maestro

Google paid advertisements, where students have to run paid ads to promote their college
review page link on Shiksha via Google Ads. (Shiksha team will share the college review page
link separately with the selected participants to be used for advertisements)
Maximum amount to be provided by Shiksha for ad promotion to every team: Rs. 2000

Activity 2: Tech Maestro

Development of your own web application using Node.js, Javascript, V8 and database
management systems. Activity will also include live theory sessions from Industry experts
along with practical development sessions.

Evaluation Criteria for Activity 1: Digital Maestro

The performance will be judged on the basis of;


Number of clicks
Effective cost per click

We suggest teams to promote the link through their personal social network as well as
Google advertisement

Process for Activity 1-


Teams have to create a Gmail account for setting up the account.

They have to create an advertiser account associated with the Gmail id and need to share the
standard rights of the advertiser account with Shiksha.

They will be provided with videos and documents along with third party links to understand how
to run Google ads.

Teams will be provided with a link to join the online discussion.

In the initial sessions of the online discussion, understanding of the Google Ads platform and
targeting knowledge will be shared with the participants.

After sharing the pre-requisites, teams will be executing their Ads.


Participants have to use their credit/debit cards to make the payment. Shiksha will reimburse
the amount (in the participants Paytm account) once the team submits the invoices after
running the ads. Maximum of 2000 INR will be reimbursed for any team. Shiksha is not liable
for the amount spent greater than this.

Evaluation Criteria for Activity 2: Tech Maestro

The performance will be judged on the basis of


Scores in the short knowledge test
Code precision and quality of the final live project development

Process for Activity 2-


Top 2 teams will be shortlisted from every college.

They will be provided a booklet about the course and its structure with a schedule and
outline of the course

Teams will be provided with a link to join the online course.

In the initial sessions, understanding and knowledge about the setup and key concepts
will be shared with the participating teams.

After understanding the basics, everybody will be participating in a final live project
development to get real time practical knowledge.

Everybody must know basics of java script

Teams must carry a laptop or desktop with fast internet connectivity

Webcam is required for online course to be interactive

Everyone should have an active gmail account

Distribution of rewards-
Rewards to be distributed at team level (irrespective of team strength) on the basis of the
score and the reward preference they opted for while registering for the project.

In case the first preference reward of the winning team is consumed, then they will be
eligible for the other available awards in the first preference bucket followed by
preference 2 reward

All kind of rewards & certificates will be dispatched after the completion of the project.
Important Note:
All the students shortlisted for the internship will have to go through rounds of interview
with the company before their final selection.
