Reflection in Personal Development

(1st Quarter)

Knowing yourself is important because you need to know the details of who you
really are.Reflecting and meditating is one of the many things to do to know yourself
even more.In this first quarter, we tackle about knowing ourself,how we develop
changes in our body and in our aspects in life,our stress and how our emotions work.

Looking back to these lesson,it did really help me to know myself more basically I
don’t have time to reflect on myself because I always care for other people than
myself.Even if it hurts my side I will do everything good just to other people to be fine
and I’m not.Discovering of who we are first before other people is just important
because this is our life.Other people can guide you to the things but you are the one
whose gonna choose and you know what is right from wrong.People are there to help
you out but yourself knows what is better.That is what I’m doing right now,to know
myself even more so that even if people judge you,you know in yourself that you know
what is best for you not to them.

I also learned that in adolescent life there is a lot of challenges and issues that
we’re facing right now.For me identity development is a great challenge to know
because from this we can develop and to know yourself even more by facing this
challenge.I am an anti-social person too,it is said that these people were avid
manipulators and getting what they want to the cost of another which it hit me because I
also do these which I realize that is is wrong to manipulate other in the seek of your
happiness.Knowing this I will accept to the things that I have and face the consequence
not dragging other people just to cover mo wrong doings.

I also discover here that I am a rght brain and how it works to me is amazing.All
the words that describes the right brain were accurate to what I do in everyday life.The
function that I was overwhelm is that the random sequencing basically it means that
unorganized things which is true because I always never organize my things and lazy to
work with it.I also learned the Gardener’s Eight Intelligences,where bodiliy kinesthetic is
my kind of intelligence.It is said to be that there’s a lot of intelligence to consider which
is that no people in this world were born ignorant.They have a specific intelligence in
their selves that some people may not be good at it.

Our emotions and mental health were important to us because these two can
really make us a make it or break it situation.If these were affected,our life can be at risk
since emotional and mental health is a conservative to talk to other people,This is where
stress can come.If we don’t handle our emotional and mental health safely,the life as we
see as positive can inter-change.It is really hard to cope up with this kind of
challenge.Meditating and reflecting is great way to lessen the negative thought we think
and a good thing to monitor our emotions and mental health.Learning this concepts had
me realize that life is complicated to see because you don’t know what is gonna happen
next.You just need to prepare yourself for the challenges and issues that you’re gonna
face.

Lesson 1:Knowing Oneself


How can knowing oneself makes someone a better person?
Knowing oneself makes us a better person because we tend to make better decision in
our life that our future will be secured.It also focuses on our personality,identity and
individuality as a person.It improves our self-awareness in order to make a better
decision for your own and to others.We intend to prevent the wrong doings or decision
that can make our desire future be destroy.

Lesson 2:One's Holistic Development


How does someone achieve Holistic Personal Development
We can achieve Holistic Personal Development by examining our actions.Knowing our
actions that we do can prevent certain things that our life can involve.A person with
holistic personal development tend to be an open minded person,considerating the
feelings of other people.It can improve their way of living and behavior.

Lesson 3:Developmental Skills and Task among Adolescents


Elaborate ways for you to become a responsible adolescent prepared for adult life
based on the things you have learned.
Adolescent life is a crucial stage to people because there's a lot of resposibilities that
you're gonna handle up until being prepared for adult life.To become a responsible
adolescent,you should consider that things that will benefit in your adult life.You should
think responsibly in order to make all the decision you've made would have a posivity
outcome to your future.

Lesson 4:Challenges and Issues among adolescent


What are the challenges facing an adolescent and how can he or she manage to
overcome them and be a responsible individual?
The challenges that the adolescent were facing are being impulsive,sexual
behavior,identity development,gender identity and physical appearance.He or she can
overcome these by trusting themselves and be a responsible being.Think also your
actions that may affect in your life.Make some time to meditate and reflect yourself to
life.
Lesson 5:The Brain,Intelligence and thinking in Adolescent
How are thinking patterns,emotions and behavior relate to the functioning of the human
brain?
Our brain has a lot of functions.It can control our feelings,body movements,reaction and
etc.Thinking patterns,emotions and behavior are also related to the functioning of our
brain.The way our emotions overflow when something bad or good happen,our brain
handles it because of the nerve cells.

Lesson 6:Coping with Stress


What causes a person to experience stress and how could one handle it effectively
There's a lot of cause that can result to stress,it may be from work,academics,
relationships and etc.Handling diffirent kinds of stress may be difficult to some
people.You can handle them by thinking a solution to that problem that causes you
stress.Think responsibly and priority first the things that needs to be done before other
things.

Lesson 7:Emotions and Emotional Intelligence


How can I understand myself and other people?
By looking to your inner part as a person and to other people.You should not be harsh
on yourself when you do something bad because that is what life is.You can understand
yourself by reflecting the things that you as well as to other other.Look into their inner
intention of why did they do a certain.Do not focus on one side only,you should be open
for the positive and negative outlook.

Lesson 8:Mental Health and Well-Being in Adolescent


How can we develop and maintain mental health and well-being?
We can develop and maintain mental health and well being by meditating and
reflecting.Meditaing is a really good thing to do because it can calm us and reflecting is
where we can reminisce the things we do and thinking ways to make our action to be
good.It can also take our outlook in life to be positive.
