Life is eternal but love will never be, because feelings fade and people

always come and go. I closed the book after I read those words. Another
novel that I finished for this week. It was the 70th book that I had read for
this month. Well, the perks of being a bookworm vampire. It is easy for us
to read and understand texts and paraphrases. I try to close my eyes and
feel the ambiance of my room, thinking about what will happen tomorrow.
Will I go for a hunt? Or visit my Auntie in North Carolina. “You’re majesty?”
Susie knocked on my door. I get off to bed and fix myself. “Yes?” I asked.
“King Antonius Louivich is waiting for you in the lobby.” I looked myself in
the mirror. The King of Transylvania is here in my house again. He visits
me every 7th day the week. I didn’t response to Susie and I felt that she
waited there for ten minutes, but when she realized that I am fixing myself
to go down, she left. As I walked down in my grand staircase and hand
slowly sliding in the handrail my, I saw Louivich’s eyes looking at me. He
watched my every step. Antonius Louivich Vlad is a good looking man, has
a pair of purple hunting eyes, pointed nose, thick eyebrows, ice-colored skin,
reddish lips and well-defined jaw. His built shouts that he is a good hunter,
biceps and triceps are obvious. He is a perfect king for a perfect queen. He
is perfect for me. As I stepped in the last tread, he kneel and kissed the
back of my right hand. “A king must not kneel down for a queen.” I said
and he stand up. “You are worth of kneeling my queen.” He replied. We sat
in the chair that was made for the royalties. “Can I have you this
Saturday?” He started the conversation. “Loui, I will go to Aunt Priscilla
this Saturday, sorry but I can’t come with you.” I quickly said. It annoys me
every time he tries to get my attention and my time. I looked at him after I
said my answer. He’s trying to calm himself but I see that he is irritated
and annoyed from what I said. He smiled and stood up. “Oh, this is the fifth
time that you ignored my offer to go out with you.” I stood up also to show
some respect. “I’m very sorry Louivichi, I just to visit my Auntie.” I said in
a very pleasing and guilty way I know. He holds my left hand and touch my
face. “Don’t worry Aurora. as long as you know what you are doing and still
remembered that I am your soon to be husband, I won’t be mad.” I felt his
madness the way he holds my face. “I have to go, goodbye Mrs. Vlad.” I
washed off his hand in my face. “Not yet.” I said with dignity. “Yes, not yet
but sooner or later you’ll be my wife.” And he walked towards the door and
left me with wrath in my heart.

It was a refreshing Saturday morning. I am driving to North Carolina

and visit my aunt. Whenever I try to go out and go to cinemas, I always
choose to watch a movie that is all about vampire. And every time that a
vampire rode on a vehicle, the person beside me keep asking themselves;
why vampires still ride on a car, is their power not enough to go to
somewhere they want to go? I just laugh in the back of my mind. If
someone will see us running faster than a horse, they will creep out. Yes,
that is one of the reason why vampires have cars. I step out in my Audi and
walk towards the house that was huge just like mine. I knocked and called
Auntie Priscilla. “Hi dear! Come in” Auntie Priscilla is like a mother to me.
She is the only relatives I have since my father died. I sit to one of the
chairs and she also did. “What’s with this urgent visit Aurora?” she asked
while the servants pour some drinks in my glass. “ Can I have a vacation
here? Just 2-3 weeks?” I said my intention why I traveled 150 miles away.
She bite to the piece of cabbage in her salad. We are different from the
other vampires that is why we are one of the powerful. “Why?” She asked,
and I can feel that she is trying to look for my words if it is true or not. “I
am avoiding the King of Transylvania” I answered. She dropped her fork
and looked me. “Why would you do that? You are meant to marry him.” It
was firm and monotone but I can still feel that she was irritated from what
I said. “I am still not ready yet Auntie, father just died two months ago.”
That is true, Louivich is a perfect man for me but I’m still not ready. “You
must Aurora, when Vicentious died, that is the only thing that he wants to
happen. For her daughter to be married to a king.” I know what she said.
Before father die, my marriage to Louivich is already settled. It should be
done 2 years ago but I refuse, I said that I am too young to get married.
And father moved the wedding day. He set our wedding on October 31 and
today is September 30. One month from now I am no longer a Wyatt, I will
be a Vlad. No one spoke after what I said. We just eat silently and forget
about the topic that we discussed. Auntie allowed me stay with her for 2
weeks, I think it is enough for me to enjoy my life without Louivich for a
weeks.

1:30 am when I decided to go for a hunt in the forest near in Auntie’s

house. My steps are gentle, I was barefoot so no animals could hear that I
am hunting. I smelled a bobcat from west. Run like a wind is what I did.
Then I grabbed the neck of the bobcat and suck it. I leave it lifeless.
While walking towards the house I saw a man from Auntie’s front
door. Type AB, sweet is he. He’s holding a tennis racket and ball. He
throws the ball in the air and looked me. The ball landed on his head. I
walked faster and go to him. “Hey, are you alright?” I asked him. “I’m sorry
if I got you distracted.” I added.he just look me like he was seeing a ghost.
“Mr?” I asked again. He shake his head and look at me again. “Y-yeah, I’m
sorry.” He finally spoke. “Are you hurt?” I asked. He stood up and I
followed. “Yap, I’m Clyde” he offered a hand and I accept it. “Marfori” I
never introduced myself using my second name. It is just came out from my
mouth. “What are you doing in my Auntie’s front door?” We walked
towards I think his car. “Oh! So you are Ms. Wyatt’s niece? Nice” He was
playing the ball while talking to me. “Yes, I am” I answered him. He
smirked. And I find it manly? We talked for about an hour and I discovered
that he was Auntie’s godson. That is the reason why Aunt Priscilla and I
doesn’t have the same house, because she is living with humans. She have
friends, laborers and neighbors that is not a vampire. Vampires must not
do that, but Aunt did. And that is why she is out of the Hwai. The council of
the vampires. “If you’re Aunt Priscilla’s niece, why it is the first time I saw
you?” His pitch black eyes looking at me intently. “I only visit my Auntie
twice a year.” I said looking through the windows of his soul. I love his eyes,
it is too expressive and it feels like I want it to see every morning when I
wake up. “Aurora” I blinked my eyes and look behind where the voice come.
It was Aunt Priscilla. She walked towards us and Clyde kissed her left
cheek. “Why are you still here Clyde? I thought you already go home?” She
asked Clyde but she is looking at me. “Auntie, I’ll go inside” I know that
she wants me to go back inside of the house. I walked few steps when Clyde
grab my arm. No one must touch a queen that way. But I just ignored it. I
saw Auntie’s expression. She knew that Clyde did is not right. “Clyde.” But
the man just smiled to her. “Auntie, can I have a seconds to talk with
Marfori? I just want to say something.” Auntie will refuse but I nodded to
her, so she gave us a seconds. “Why?” I asked. He still holding my right
arm and I feel irritated. “I will go here next Sunday, and can we have a
little bonding together? In the forest?” This man, I don’t know he gives chill
down to my spine and why it feels like I am not me every time I’m with him.
“Sure” His smile was big as milky way because of my response. I walked
fast to the house and when I got into my room I ‘t looked myself in the
mirror, it is not true that vampires don’t have reflections.It is not me. A
queen doesn’t allow mortals to hold her like that. She must feel
goosebumps towards a human.
And Sunday comes, Clyde brought me to a mountain 10 kilometers
from Auntie’s house. We arrived at the valley of the mountain and we trek
for about two hours.When we are already at the peak of the mountain, he
set the tent and we placed our things inside of it. He brought a a fishing
rod because there is a lake near here and we will go for a fishing. My night
and day with Clyde is the most happiest event in my life. There are a lot of
things that I learned and experienced. It is really nice to be just a mortal.
We decided to stay in the mountain and we will go home tomorrow morning.
While we are laying in the comforter that he brought, I saw a lot of stars
above. I traced them and it created things and shapes. “Did you have fun?”
He asked nowhere. I was looking at the stars but when he spoke I faced
him. “Of course, thank you for letting me experienced those things. “ I
answered. He smiled and I realized that we are inches away from each
other. He pulled me and give me a passionate kiss.
 It was already eight o’clock in the morning when we got home. I heard
a shout from Auntie’s house. Clyde and I run towards the house. I saw
Louivich holding my Auntie in her neck and furiously cursing. “Antonius
Louivich!” I shouted. Louivich turned his gaze to us. Clyde tried to go near
to Louivich and my Auntie but I stopped him. “Go home, I’ll handle this
one.” I commanded him. “No, Marfori. That guy migh hurt you. I will call a
police and ambulance.” I then felt the burning anger in my heart. “I said
just go home!” I shouted to him. My eyes turned to red and he was shock
from what he saw. “M-Marfori?” He asked tensely. “Just go. Please.” I
dragged him outside of the house an locked the door.
“Louivich! Get your hands off to my Auntie!” I shout again to this
bastard. He let go of my Auntie and walk towards where I am standing. He
grabbed my wrist and look at me. “Where have you been?! Why are you
with that idiot mortal?!” He furiously asked. “O-ouch Loui, you’re hurting
me.” I said in pain. He thrown me to the wall and it hit my back. “I am
asking you! Answer me!” He shout at me. “Why are you mad?!” I shouted
back. “Who wouldn’t be?! My people saw you in the mountain and flirting
with each other!” I got my tongue. I looked away, his people saw us. I am
dead, also Clyde.

“I want to cancel our wedding Louivich.” That is all I said after he he

shouted me. He stunned and his body was shaking. “No, you can’t do that
Aurora! You are my fiance! Our wedding will be next month and you can’t
do this to me!” I saw sadness, shocked and madness in his eyes. “I’m sorry.”
I know I shouldn’t do that but that what my heart wants. I’m inlove but not
with him. I don’t know why I can’t love this guy. He is perfect but I just
don’t feel they called love towards him. “You can’t do this! A vampire must
not fell inlove to a mortals, especially a queen like you. Vampires also not
known for being a quitter and breaker of a commitment. The council will
kick you out from the empire.” He was saying those words,madly and with
lose of hopes. “Let them be, I don’t care. I don’t need any position or crown
in my life, I need someone I love besides me more.”

After the encounter with Louivich I decided to go back to Costa Leona

and when I stepped my feet on the ground a letter was already in my hand.
The council knew what I have done and they really did what Louivich told
me. I go to my room and try to sleep. This is the curse of being a vampire,
you can’t sleep, you can’t rest your mind and forget everything. I continued
my life and I back from being lonely in my castle, I did my daily routine.
Days, weeks and months has pass but I am still here. Nothing change.
Longing for the right love to come with the right man. I as sitting in my
room and sewing my dress, when Susie knocked. “Your majesty, someone is
waiting for you below.” I know that it is not Louivich because after our
encounter he never visit me again. I got curious of who will bw the person
that is waiting for me. When I finally got down, I saw a man standing in
front of me. All I can see is his broad back. He is wearing a tuxedo and
slowly he faced me. “Marfori, it’s been months since I saw you.” And his
eyes turned into red.
