1. Share some thoughts about the ISTE Student and Teacher Standards. To what extent is your
school/district implementing these standards? Does your school/district have technology
standards in addition to the ISTE-S? What actions would you like to see related to the ISTE-S and
ISTE-T in your school/district?
a. In today’s world, the ISTE standards for students make perfect sense. Everything we
do just about incorporates technology and there are so many facets to technology
that students should be in tune with. All seven standards encouraged creativity and
need for critical thinking. The standards also give way to a deeper understanding of
what it means to incorporate technology from the students and teacher perspectives.
It's not just adding iPads to lessons, but it’s in what why will students be empowered
to use their voice within a technological landscape. I appreciate that the goal for
educators using the standards is to empower students in facilitating the initiative to
forge their own learning.
b. In all honesty, this is my first time seeing these standards. I know my district
encourages use to use technology within our lessons, and we are fortunate to have
many programs and applications that we can use. However, we have not explored
these standards. I feel certain that technology is aware of these, and they push out
things to teachers that may encompass these standards, but I also feel certain that
teachers would not be able to relate it these standards.
c. After reading these standards, I think my school/district should consider having
more conversations with their teachers about these standards. We are in the
business of molding students ready to take on the world and what it has to offer. In
making sure that we adequately preparing students and empowering them, this
work needs to be done.

2. Do you find the TPACK framework useful? Why or why not?

a. Yes, I find the TPACK framework useful. TPACK is an essential part of the education
system as it incorporates the growing demand on the use of technology in the
classroom as well as continuing the focus on content and how we teach it.

7. What individualized learning experience(s) did you choose and how were they helpful to you?
a. I choose number 8. This was helpful to me because it allowed me to look at examples
of projects that I would be creating. Choosing this made me stop and review the
template, rubric, and other examples. Although it is advised we don’t start designing
our project, I know have more of an understanding of what is required and can go
ahead be thinking of topics I’d to focus on.

8. What questions do you have about the tutorial content, the Engaged Learning Indicators, and/or
