Plug the HDMI cable into the "HDMI" port on the side of your laptop.

Plug the other end of the


cable into the "HDMI IN" port on the display. Turn on the display. Press "Fn-F5" on
the Acer's keyboard to activate the video port and send the image from the computer to the
external display.
Plug the other side of the cable into the "HDMI IN" port on your TV or monitor. Right-click the
"Volume" icon on the Windows taskbar, select "Sounds" and choose the "Playback" tab. Click
the "Digital Output Device (HDMI)" option and click "Apply" to turn on the audio and video
functions for the HDMI port.

HDMI to PC or Laptop

The TV has a several HDMI inputs, and must have the correct HDMI input selected to watch
programming from your external device. The No Signal message indicates a problem with the cable
connection or the external device.

1.Determine which TV HDMI input port is connected to your PC or laptop.

2.Press the SMART button and select the Input Icon , then select the correct HDMI input.

3.Check that the laptop is set to output a resolution supported by the TV. A setting of 1920 x 1080 is
recommended to provide the best image quality. If there is still no display, then proceed to the
next step.

4.The original HDMI cable may be faulty. Use another cable and test if the signal is now present.
If not, then try a different external device.

5.If the No Signal message continues, try plugging the HDMI cable into a different port on the TV,
then change the TV to the appropriate input. If all steps have failed, the TV may require service.
