PRODUCT SPECIFICATION – LCP C & Z PURLINS, WALL GIRTS AND

BRIDGING

LCP C & Z Purlin and LCP Girt are manufactured from high tensile steel (G550 up to 1mm thick,
G500 up to 1.2mm thick and G450 for thickness greater than 1.2mm) with a minimum Z275
galvanized coating (275g/m2). LCP Bridging Accessories are manufactured from steel with
minimum yield strength of 300 MPa and galvanized coating of Z275. The material shall meet the
requirement of BCA BC1-2008 and shall be FPC certified.

All purlins and girts shall be LCP C & Z Purlin sections, supported by submission of effective
section properties, purlin capacity calculations, bridging capacity calculations and a performance
warranty, produced and detailed for this project. All sections shall be produced from galvanized
steel to EN 10025, EN 10149 or AS1397 with coating mass of at least 275g/m2 and designed in
accordance with SS EN 1993-1-3. All sections should be installed in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions with particular regard to bolt locations on both web and flanges and lap
sizes of 15% span. For more information on appropriate purlin section and other coatings, please

Where required for structural or installation purposes, LCP Bridging shall be installed using pre-
made components to manufacturer’s instructions. All other accessories shall be supplied by LCP
Building Products Pte. Ltd.

Direct contact between galvanized LCP C & Z Purlin with other dissimilar material, for example
copper pipe (bi-metallic corrosion) or treated timber (chemical corrosion) must be avoided to
prevent premature corrosion will occur.

All work shall be completed in a workman like manner prior to installation of the cladding material
and all local authority and safety requirement must be strictly adhered to during installation.
