Does recycling household rubbish really make any difference to the planet?

In an overpopulated world like ours, where so many of us are able to make money and
consequently, expending it on products, it is important to recycle. As times passes by, people
generate more rubbish, and if the amount of trash that we generate can be reduced, we could
really help our planet in different ways. For example, recycling can save forest from being chopped
down. If we could just think about the amount of trees that are cut every day for the production of
paper (production which could be minimized if we all were aware of the benefits of recycling) we
could make a great favor to our natural resources. Secondly, it can help with the creation of new
jobs. When recycling is part of the cultural tag of a certain community, green companies can enter
in, creating new opportunities for the people and at the same time, helping the planet. Finally, I
want to point out the fact that if we started to see objects such plastic bottles as crafting material
instead of just trash that will end up being burned and consequently, emitting greenhouse gases,
we could all get benefits from it! Re-using is also part of recycling, and there are tons of ideas on
Pinterest about what to do with plastic, you just have to take a little bit of time and get inspired by
the craftings that are there.
