Indonesians, one of the top garbage-producing countries in the world, produce millions of tons of

garbage everyday. Imagine, what would happen to indonesia even to the world, if we never care
of this action and also taking part of this bad habits. First of all, let me introduce my self I’m
Nabila Putri Tesya, 15 years old and a student of SHS 2 Dumai. I would like to deliver speech
about How to reduce plastic waste and what’s the effect to our life.

It's no secret that plastic is bad for the environment. But just how bad it is? Let's take a look at
some of the ways that plastic negatively affects the environment.

First, there's an issue of pollution. Plastic is a major contributor to both land and water pollution.
When it's not properly disposed of, it can end up in our oceans and rivers, harming marine life. It
can also end up in landfills, where it takes centuries to decompose.

Second, there's the issue of deforestation. Plastic is made from petroleum, which means its
production contributes to deforestation. The more plastic we use, the more trees are cut down to
make way for oil drilling and refining facilities.

Third, there's the issue of climate change. Plastic production emits greenhouse gases, which
contribute to climate change. Climate change is a major threat to both humans and wildlife, and
it's only getting worse as we continue to pump more and more greenhouse gases into the
atmosphere.

Fourth, there's the issue of human health. Plastic contains harmful chemicals that can leach into
food and water. These chemicals have been linked to cancer, reproductive problems, and other
health issues.

But the problem is why human still make a plastic pollution and still uncare about this bad
affect? This is our time to take a change for the future. Start from the small changes. All of us
hold the key to change things for the better and make a sizeable impact on plastic pollution.

While it may sometimes seem like this is an issue that can’t be fixed by the everyday citizen, you
would be surprised the impact you could have just by making a few small changes.

Let’s switch to reusable things like shopping bags, cutlery, and straws where possible instead of
using them once and throwing them away.

When you go shopping, look for products with packaging made from recycled or recyclable
materials

Give your old things a new life, it’s amazing what you can do with used plastic items – get
creative! In my experieced, i ever made a beautifull vase and flower from plastic bottle. I ever
turn old containers into handy storage solutions or transform plastic bottles into colourful
planters for the garden. By repurposing plastics, we can make them last longer and help reduce
waste.
Bring your own bottle, it’ll be better for u to refill yourown bottle rather than always but a
mineral bottle. Trust me, it give changes.

In conclusion, the plastic pollution is bad issues for our environment, we need to change all of
the bad habits to save our earth. We are the changer. We take the responsibility to this issue. I
invite you to be a changer, start do a small things that you can do., bring your own bottle, reuse
the things, and recycle the things. Remember small changes it makes big impact. Thank you so
much.
