Wonderful Movement :Wonderful Indonesia

Hello ladies and gentlemen! My name is Ni Luh Arisda Satya Cahya Dewi and I
am representative of SMA Negeri 2 Amlapura. This time, I will deliver a speech entitled
“Wonderful Movement : Wonderful Indonesia”.
Ladies and gentlemen, as we all know, Indonesia is immensely beautiful with its
uniqueness from Sabang to Merauke. Indonesia is home to hundreds of ethnic groups
speaking many different languages. Not only that, Indonesia’s geographical conditions
and tourism places are essentially needed as its component for Indonesia as a wonderful
Indonesia. Wonderful Indonesia is a massive sentence that showing Indonesia’s
gorgeousness that is vibrantly gleaming in Southeast Asia as the result of its richness. So
this is why we have to be proud and .maintain Indonesia’s natural and cultural values
which is important for the development and the glory of Indonesia as a united country.
But in 2019 Indonesia existences and its local wisdom have been questioned, why?
In this globalization era, the young generation now a day is having a mindset about
“International Scale” in a wrong way. They don’t have any interest with their own cultures
but tend to living in a foreign style. They believe and behave that this world is border-less
and the more we adapt the foreign style the more cool we are as they thing that the
traditional wealth is old-fashioned.
On internet and social media, lots of people have more interest and competing to
learn about other countries’ cultures and exploring other countries’ tourism places before
really knowing that Indonesia also has thousands of hidden gems in it. For example as we
can see that our teenagers are starting to forget our song and traditional dances and trying
so hard to create and follow more hip-hop song , R&B style, and break dance more than
their own traditional dances and songs.
We as Indonesian citizens need to have awareness and a movement about our
country with its progress. This is so important because our cultures and naturals wealth
are showing the characteristic of our country. This is a crucial problem that Indonesia has
to handle meticulously as a developing country.
Thing that we can do to help is being proud to be Indonesian. We don’t have to be
ashamed to be a part of Indonesia and have to step together as our new movement.
Instead of just learn about foreign skills, we can also learn traditional cultures more by
create something like a cultural mix using our traditional songs and attractions to make it
more fun without forgetting its own values. Trend country’s richness more on our social
media by using hastag #ProudToBeIndonesian or #MyPrideIsIndonesia as we know that
social media is one of the biggest influences.
 The last and the most important things are we have to educate and inform our
young generations about Indonesia more deeply. Because their careless is due to the fact
that nobody inform them about our culture.
Eager to be one of the change makers for Indonesia’s bright future is all that we
need as the young generation. Strong nationalism in unity of diversity is a truly
wonderful Indonesia. So let’s step forward and make a wonderful movement for a
wonderful Indonesia.
