APPENDIX A: REPORTS

Introduction
Use Sales and marketing reports to focus on sales personnel and the sales
organization data. The main focus for sales and marketing reporting is to report
on the activities and sales of prospects, leads, opportunities, workers, and
customers. You can use these reports to obtain, store, and use various kinds of
data in the sales flow. This data includes the original sales initiative, future follow-
up action, and additional sales.

By using Sales and marketing reporting, you can do the following:

• Create reports for the address book and create prospects, leads, and
opportunities.
• Manage the sales performance of sales personnel, sales units, and
companies.
• Create and run a group of activities.
• Store transactions and data for sales and marketing.
• Create marketing campaigns based on historical data.

Sales and Marketing Reports


Microsoft Dynamics® AX has many reports to facilitate sales management. The
reports provide the following:

• An overview of prospect, lead, opportunity, and customer information.


• Activities attached to key records
• Sales data sorted in a meaningful way and with customizable views.

You can view most sales and marketing reports directly from the Sales and
Marketing module. The reports are grouped in the follow way:

• Telephony
• Sales management
• Campaigns
• Telemarketing
• Statistics

To access these reports, open the Sales and Marketing module and click Reports.

Sales and Marketing Reports Data


If you are a developer, you can learn more about where the data on a Sales and
marketing report comes from by using the following procedure:

1. Open the Microsoft Dynamics AX Application Object Tree (AOT).


2. Expand the SSRS Reports > Reports node.
3. Right-click a report. Click Add-Ins > Cross-reference > Using
(instant view).

Common CRM Reports


Microsoft Dynamics AX has many reports to facilitate sales management. The
following reports are commonly used to provide CRM analysis:

Report Path
Average call duration: Provides Sales and marketing > Reports >
detailed information on telephone Telephony > Average call duration

Activity analysis: Provides Sales and marketing > Reports > Sales

Sales vs. targets: Provides Sales and marketing > Reports > Sales
