Symptom

When you try to create/change/display a service related document like PR, PO, contract, service entry sheet
etc., Message No. SE729 (Customizing incorrectly maintained) is issued. You have checked SAP Note
1382685, but it is still not clear how to make the adjustment

This KBA provides detailed steps how to compare the entries between table control and T162V, and how to
make the required adjustments

• SAP enhancement package for SAP ERP, version for SAP HANA
• SAP S/4HANA

Cause

• You have recently made an upgrade and the number of entries in table T162V is different to the
number of columns in table control for screen SAPLMLSP/400. If the numbers are the same, it can be
that entries in table T162V are different as the ones from the columns in the table
• Since different customers maintain different number of entries for each variant, it would not be
possible to release a standard note to all customers to fix this. Moreover this cannot be fixed using the
Note Assistant, the changes have to be done manually

Resolution

1. Start transaction ML81N/ME23N/ME53N/ME33K/IW33/CJ20N etc., open a service related document,

in the Service sub-screen, press the ‘Configuration’ icon to open the Table Settings screen

2. Now, Click on the ‘Administrator’ button

3. Copy all the fields listed in the column 'Field' to an Excel file

4. In the Excel file, sort the fields by ascending order

5. Now use SE16 transaction and enter the table T162V, for the field VARIANT, enter value 0 and
execute(F8)

6. Sort the field ‘SCRFNAME’ by ascending

7. Copy all the fields listed in table T162V to the Excel file that you have used in step 4

8. Compare the fields copied from table control with the fields copied from table T162V one by one, then
adjust the entries in table T162V by transaction SM31

9. In case a field exists in table control, but missing in table T162V, please add the entry into table T162V
by pressing ‘New Entries’ button(for the value of field "Position", you can use any number which has
not been used for other fields)

10. In case a field is missing in table control, but exists in table T162V, please delete the entry from table
T162V by selecting the entry and then pressing the ‘Delete’ icon

11. There are 6 variants in table T162V(VARIANT=0,1,2,3,4,5). The comparison needs to be done for each
of the variants (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5) and verify if they are equal to the entries in the table control
