    TYPES OF SUPPORTS

    Fixed Support
    One of the example of a fixed support is a post. These posts are considered to be a
    fixed support because it is fixed on the ground and it restricts all possible movements.

    Roller Support
    Sliding gate is a types of roller support. The roller support in sliding gates allow
    movement in horizontal direction and it does not allow movement in vertical direction.
    Pinned Support
    It is a type of pinned support because it allow rotation in only one direction. The
    gate hinge also prevents horizontal and vertical translation.
