A. 1.1 Creating- Create instructional materials and learning environments using a systems
approach
A. I had to create a website for my final for my learning with computers in a K-12
classroom class. The website housed all of my projects and homework for this class. In
this class I created a lot of presentations about specific technologies. The presentations
either explained what the technology was or showed how these technologies could be
used or integrated into a K-12 classroom. This website would be a great resource for
teachers that are trying to integrate technology in a classroom in a K-12 setting. It has a
lot of great resources that I use in my own classroom everyday. The website I created for
integration strategies and assignments that show that I can create instructional materials
using a systems approach. Everything made on this website demonstrates creating and
understanding the content. I also met this standard with my ID models project and my

ideas embedded into it. This website has multiple resources that I personally researched
that will help student learning. The presentations included would be helpful for teachers

focused primarily on the elementary portion of the website. To do this I had to assess and
evaluate which web design tool would work best. Throughout the course I used multiple
different web design tools and settled on using Wix to create my final website. I had to
evaluate how it worked and if it worked well. Wix is a great website builder to use. I
would use it in the future when building websites for other projects. To create this
website I had to also assess what items I would like to use on the website. What colors to
use, what information to include, what pages I wanted to include and how I wanted it to
be set up. I also had to assess the appropriate types of technology to include in it. For
example, should I include teacher websites, social media sites and other types of media. I
A. I had to write a grant proposal for my grant writing class. The grant had to be above
$50,000. I chose to write my grant proposal for the Nodaway Valley Elementary School
playground. I found a grant through Omaha, Nebraska that would put up half of the
money if the school district would put up the other half. I created a budget, needs
assessment, grant proposal summary and a timeline. I worked with the school district to
come up with the details of the grant proposal. I met this standard by managing and
collaborating with my administrators to create this grant. I also created and managed a
budget for the grant proposal. The grant proposal I created in the grant writing class

predetermined goal. I had to have a goal to get a grant for a new playground. I met this
standard by working collaboratively with others and managing all of the different pieces
of the grant proposal. I had to manage a budget, the process of how it would work,
decide what resources needed to be used to achieve the goal of getting the grant and
manage my time well working with my administrators. I also met this standard with my

meet an end goal. I chose to create my strategic plan for the Nodaway Valley Community

plan and get it implemented. I met this standard with this project because my strategic
plan was to implement more literacy technology into our schools to increase our FAST
(Iowa benchmark test) scores. I had to implement effective technology into literacy time
in my own classroom and demonstrate the good things that were happening in my
performance outcomes. In the end my class did improve their scores quite a bit and

instruction that I was doing for my strategic plan. There were some literacy technologies
that I used that were not effective. I had to evaluate the good the technologies were doing
compared to the bad. I had to ask myself what the kids were getting out of this
technology and if they could get a better knowledge from a different technology.

settings. This really shows mastery of this standard because I had to select specific
technology resources that would provide optimal learning conditions. I also met this

this standard with this project by creating a plan to improve literacy FAST testing scores
from fall to spring. I had to manage creating a plan and working with other teachers to

administrators at school to create this strategic plan for Nodaway Valley. I also worked
closely with our AEA district literacy consultant to find literacy technology that would
classroom and observed other teachers to help them find good literacy technology to use
in their classrooms for different grade levels. I also met this standard with my web design
