Help!
I’m new at this school and I don’t know anyone yet. I miss my old friends and it’s difficult to stay
in touch with them because they live in another city. I like my classmates, but I want to find some
friends to spend time with at the weekend, too. I’m feeling a little sad; what should I do?

2. Write an answer to FlipFlop_16 using three of the six following points.

• say something about how the student is feeling

• tell him/her what you do when you’re feeling sad

• suggest some ways that he/she can stay in touch with his/her old friends

• suggest some ideas for making new friends

• tell him/her about your friends at school

• invite him/her to do something with you next weekend

James

Hey guys,
I think I’m in love with my best friend, Jenna! We get along really well and I spend lots of time
with her outside of school. She tells everyone that we’re just good friends, but I want her to be my
girlfriend. I don’t want to fall out with her and ruin our friendship though! What should I do?

• comment on the situation
