GENERAL NOTES & SPECIFICATIONS
1. Power supply to the building shall be 230 volts, three phase, 4 wire, 60 Hz.
2. All materials to be used shall be new and approved type for purpose and location.
3. Normal and emergency circuits shall not be combined in one raceway or conduit.
4. Receptacles for central use shall be duplex, 20A, 230 VAC, grond type.
5. All wires shall have a maximum of 80 of wire ampacity.
6. Light switches minimum rating shall be 15A, 230 VAC.
7. All materialls to be used shall be brand new and have the “PS” marks.
8. Mounting heights must be as follows:
9. Conduit embedded within concrete wall shall have a minimum cement plastered of 20mm
thick.
10. All conduit pipes above ceilings should have independent hanger support.
11. All lighting fixtures shhould have independent hanger supports.
12. All boxes shall be occuppied only of 50% of wire volume.
13. Voltage drop shall be limited to 2.5 from source to panel board as PEC requirement or as
acceptable to laboratory equipment.
14. Circuit breakers serving motors and lighting shall be industrial and commercial bolt-on type
respectively with minimum of 10k AIC rating.
15. All wires and cables shall be brand new and approved types.
16. All circuits shall be 4-wire for 3 pphase and 3-wire for 1 phase and shall be color coded as
follows:
a. Line 1 black
b. Line 2 red
c. Line 3 blue
d. Ground wire green stripe/ green-yellow gray
17. Preferred distribution boards must be industrial type bolt-on with 18kAIC minimum unless
otherwise speified.
18. Use solderless connector, mechanical 1 pressure type copper lugs for connection of wires
larger than 8mm2.
19. Use filler compound, scotch fill or approved equal at sharp edges to provide smooth surface
before tapping with electrical tape.
