i) For a person standing at a distance of 80m from a church, the angle of elevation of its top is found to
be 45. Find the height of the church.

i) A tree 12m high, is broken by the wind in such a way that its top touches the ground and makes an
angle of 60 with the ground. At what height from the bottom the tree is broken by the wind.

ii) 3 sin A – 4 cos A = 0 , then find the values of tan A , sec A & cosec A .
iii) Two person on the same side of all building notice the angle of elevation to the top of the building be
30 & 60 respectively. If the height of the building is 72m, find the distance between two
person.(√3 = 1.73)

i) A person standing on the bank of a river observes that the angle of elevation of the top of a tree
standing on the opposite bank is 60. when he moves 40m away from the bank, he finds the angle of
elevation to be 30 find the height of the tree & the width of the river.

ii) A ship of height 24m is sighted from a light house. from the top of the light house, the angle
depression to the top of the mast & base of the ship is 30 & 45 respectively. How far is the ship from
the lighthouse.

iii) Eliminate 𝜃 if : 𝑥 = 2𝑐𝑜𝑠𝜃 − 3𝑠𝑖𝑛𝜃, 𝑦 = 𝑐𝑜𝑠𝜃 + 2𝑠𝑖𝑛𝜃
