Placement Policy
1. Introduction:
The role of the CRC – GLBIMR is of a facilitator and counselor for placement related activities. CRC –
GLBIMR provides 100% placement assistance to all the registered students.

2. Ideology:
The CRC – GLBIMR is not just to provide job opportunities but shape careers and ensure the jobs are suitable
for each student in context of their strengths and weaknesses.

3. How to register with CRC?


The students who intend to seek jobs through the CRC - GLBIMR first need to register themselves:
3.1. Soft copy of resume to be submitted by email at crchead@glbimr.org.
3.2. Placement Policy to be submitted to CRC duly signed and dated.
3.3 Student Undertaking for participation in CRC activities to be duly signed and dated. (Annexure I)

4. Eligibility Criterion
4.1 As per company’s laid out eligibility criteria.
4.2 As per Institutional Policy of Discipline/ Attendance.

5. Policy
5.1 Students need to sign the PNR form (Placement not required) if he/she wants to apply by their own
either wants to join the Family business or want to become an Entrepreneur.

5.2 The CRC - GLBIMR will allow the registered students, to the basis of eligibility to appear for “Multiple
Interviews” (Including On/off campus).
Note: Student shall be allowed to appear for an Interview even after accepting the Job offer only in case
of an A* Star – Exceptionally Renowned Company visiting the Campus; however, provided student
fulfills the Eligibility Criteria (Clause 4). (A* Star Company – Best in their Segment/ Sector)
Students can apply to the opening if the offered CTC will be multiple of 1.5 & above and the
student can apply to the same by maximum 3 times.

5.3 Once a student has accepted a job offer, whether via on-campus recruiting or in an independent job
search, he/she must notify the CRC - GLBIMR immediately. Details should include Salary & Hiring
information by completing a CRC - GLBIMR “Successful Placement Form”. Student should also
withdraw applications and resumes from all other employers and positions to which he has applied.

5.4 Students are informed to be in contact with the CRC - GLBIMR and are not allowed to directly
contact the Company. In case of violation/ breach, the student shall be debarred from the Placement
Drive.
6. Special Training Programs

6.1 CRC - GLBIMR shall be organizing various Competency Mapping activities during the IV trimester
throughout the academic session. The students are expected to attend these training programmes
seriously and whenever the placement training programs are held it’s mandatory for the students to
attend it. The students are supposed to have an attendance of 90 per cent in these programmes until
they are placed.

6.2 Preparatory Session and other related activity: post registration for a position, incase the student fails to
attend the preparatory session or any related activity; he / she will be suspended for the next two
opportunities.

6.3 Strict action is likely to be taken against student who fails to attend these Special Training Programs.
Whosoever has to exempt himself/herself from the training programme has to take prior
permission with a genuine reason or his/her name will be removed from the CRC - GLBIMR list.

6.4 Special Session: If a Student is not selected even after 5 interviews a special session will be
conducted to address the problem areas. Students have to attend these sessions before participating in
further recruitment drives.
7. Selection of Companies:
Companies will be invited and scheduled by the CRC - GLBIMR on the basis of the following parameters:
a) Job profile and growth prospects.
b) The package being offered by the company.
c) Past record of recruitment at GLBIMR.
d) Feedback from the Alumni regarding the company.
8. Future notices for each placement drive will be declared for various companies and rules & regulations will be
mentioned to be followed to subject of each drive therein.
9. Mentoring:
Keeping the larger interests of the student community, the Director Office would nominate faculty of the
core departments as mentors. The major function of the mentors is to prepare the students for the Campus
drives by giving them required inputs in the subjects and aptitude, while the Coordinators make all necessary
arrangements for the campus drives including - updating the students about the various drives, dates, selection
process etc.

Undertaking for Participation in CRC Activities
