The events are as listed below:


1. Code-o-thon
2. Code Relay
3. Web Designing
4. Blind Coding

General Norms:
1. Registration is mandatory for all the students.
2. Students are required to carry their Identity Cards and event registration
receipt (IU/Non IU Students) for all the competitions.
3. Late entries will not be entertained
4. On spot registrations are subjected to the number of entries in any particular
event.
5. The organizers reserve the rights to change the venue, time and rules if
required.
6. In any case, no refund will be given after registration.
7. In case of discrepancy, the decision made by the organizing committee will be
final and binding.
1. CODE-O-THON
A platform to showcase how good you are at coding and solving problems.
Your Analytical thinking, Problem solving skills and Speed will be put to test
in this race against time.

RULES:
 Players can participate either individually or in pairs of two.
 The following programming languages are allowed: C, C#, C++, JAVA,
PYTHON (all versions).
 This event will unfold in two stages: preliminary round and final
round.
 No electronic devices or papers are allowed
 Access to Google or any other website for assistance is not allowed.

PRELIMENARY ROUND:
A few problems will be given to all. Each problem will carry certain
amount
of points according to their difficulty. Your goal is to score the maximum
points in the allotted time.

FINAL ROUND:
One question will be given to all and the goal is to solve it as early as
possible.

Note: Report 30 minutes prior to the event.


2. CODE RELAY
Code relay is a dual participation competitive coding competition. Each team will
be assigned a problem. The first member will be allocated a certain period of time
wherein he/she will solve the problem partially and after that the next member
will continue from where the member left. This competition puts the chemistry
between the members to ultimate challenge as the members won’t be able to
communicate in-between the competition.

RULES:
1. Contestant are requested to save their file in continuous time interval in case of
power loss or loss of file we are not responsible and contestant are required to
solve the program from beginning.
2. In case of any doubt contact volunteers.
3. 20min is allocated to each player No player can redo or make any changes in
previous player code if and unless it is necessary.
4. After time completion or task completion of player 1 His/her code will be
validated on basis of our judging scheme.
5. If player 1 completes the task before time, the remaining time will be provided to
the 2nd contestant.
6. Mobile phones or any other smart devices are prohibited.

3. Web Designing
The participants will have an opportunity to express their creativity to give their
best shot at creating an appealing website. The event will take place in 2
rounds where the final winners will be declared at the end of 2nd round. The
themes will be declared on the day of the event itself.

RULES:
1. Participants need to design web pages or website based on the
competition topic.
2. Judge’s decision will be final.
3. The pages will be created according to problem statements.
4. Use of USB drive is strictly prohibited.
5. You would be provided to browse the internet for the first 15 minutes.

6. One would not be allowed to use any kind of framework.

7. Use of templates is strictly prohibited.


4. BLIND CODING
Are you confident about your coding skills? Take this challenge and find out if
you can successfully write programs without seeing the screen.

RULES:
1. The following programming languages are allowed : C, C++, JAVA (all
2. versions).
3. No specific branch restriction.
4. No electronic devices or papers are allowed.
5. Only individual participation is permitted.

ROUND 1:
 A simple code with syntax error will be given on paper.
 Participants have to correct the errors on paper and type the code with
monitor switched off.
 Ten minutes will be given to type and correct the code.

ROUND 2:
 Only problem statement will be provided.
 Participants need to type the code in the editor with monitors switched off.
 Twenty minutes will be given to each participant.
 Winners will be announced based on the results of compilation and
execution.
 In case of TIE: TIE breaking problem statement will be given and time
will be monitored.
