Introductory activities.

Warm-up: Introducing new vocabulary.

In the first activity we present two colourful hands, one of them with the word
“left” and the other with the word “right” in one side of the hand. Then, children
have to stay behind their chairs while we are in front of them. We are going to
present the hands indicating them which one is right and which one is left. After
that, we make a guessing game where we ask them to move to one side of the
chair depending on which hand we rise up.

Practice with parts of the body:

For the second activity, we are going to paste a body on the board, and then we
will ask them to place the names of the different parts of the body that are used in
the song on the correct position of the body.

Total Physical Response activity:

For the last introductory activity, we will present them three different flashcards
with the prepositions “IN, OUT and AROUND”. Then, we will ask them to form
groups of four and we will give them a hula hoop with which they will play “Simon
Says” according to the preposition we show them with the flashcards.

Listening and dancing to the song.

As a concluding activity we will watch the video and listen to the song once,
and in the second time they will have to dance it out putting into practice what they
have learned.
