SAFETY GEAR OF SEPTIC TANK

ABSTRACT
Septic Tanks (ST) are scientifically designed structures used for primary treatment of liquid
waste with settleable solids. The contents of the tank separate into three layers: a floating scum
layer consisting of soap, greases, oil etc. a liquid layer and a bottom sludge layer consisting of
heavy organic and inorganic solid. Septic tanks must be clean periodically .The cleaning of
septic tank is done by human. The cleaning of ship cargo tanks are also done by human. Inspite
of all necessary safety precaution taken while cleaning septic tank and enclosed space entry
procedure fatal accident still occur to overcome this situation we are designing safety gear for
all tanks which has entry of worker from upper side of tank to vertically downward. The safety
gear consist of smart helmet, jacket connected rope and rope connected to motor.
