The viability of the business operation depends greatly upon the demand of the product
or services. Demand is then referred to as the quantity of a product that a buyer is willing to
buy at a particular time price and place. An analysis of the demand would determine the degree
f marketability of the product. The entire volume of edible seaweed cups that the proposed
business may be able to sell will be absorbed by the target market. This assurance was made
based on the positive results of the survey conducted.
SUPPLY ANALYSIS
Supply refers to the number of units a supplier will offer for various market prices
during some period of time. This includes the availability of goods or services that suffice the
needs of the market. Estimates of past and present levels of supply are needed to arrive at the
forecasted supply conditions within the lifetime of the project.
The number of population is an important factor in determining the size of the sample. The
proponents made use of the sampling method in order to determine the sample size. Which is
sixty two (62) computed using the formula as follows:

The table on the following page shows the population per mall and the number of
respondents per mall. As shown in Table 1, the total population is 74.

The respondents were made to indicate what type of packaging they are using. Their
answers were used as basis in estimating the average number of edible seaweed cups that can
be sold. The data pertaining to this information are shown on Table 2.
