Course Code : PA 206
Course Description : Administration of Local Government Units
Number of Hours : 54 Hrs.
Term Offered : 1st Semester SY 2019-2020

Course Description:

This course is about how local government operates. Its dual personality as an agent of the state in its administration of the
territory and the inhabitants within the local government limits. The focus is based on Republic Act 7160 otherwise known as the local
Government Code of 1991, laws and other related issuances on Local Government Administration.

General Objectives:
To enable the students to acquire a clear grasp of the general operation of the local government units as well as learn from its
intricacies including pressing issues and concerns.

Specific Objectives:

At the end of the course, the students are expected to learn:

1. To broaden the knowledge of the students in public administration in matters of local government administration.
2. To guide students in Public Administration in understanding what is local Government Administration, the role of the barangays,
municipalities, cities & provinces in achieving development.
3. To share systems, procedures and practices in local governmental affairs.
4. To enable the students to discuss current issues and updates in local government administration.
